Bathtub Heated by Fire Outside | The Basics were Free!

Anyone can create this bathtub with a good old-fashioned method of heating the water with fire. The tub was free, the rocks were free; the wood building surrounding it did cost me, but it was such a great investment for those times when I need a spa day in nature. I hope it will give you some ideas of how you might be able to incorporate an outside tub in your space.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE that! I miss having a bathtub so much! I wish I would have taken my Mom's claw tub when she did bathroom renos. I was considering something similar and I wish I would have taken it. I bet it's so nice having a bath in the great outdoors!!

Hi Jenna! It really is magical and relaxing to soak in nature! Lots of people give away bathtubs for free, so maybe you’ll find a claw foot. My brother had this metal tub that he didn’t want and it’s worked great, but I might keep my eyes open for a claw foot so I can have a deeper bath. Thanks so much for checking it out! 💕🫶💕

Oh my gosh! "Peachy keen, jelly bean!" Lol! That was very relaxing and you are so resourceful! I thought it was rough that we take "military" showers in our rv to save on water! You have luxury with a view while "roughing" it. Wow! Peace to you and sweet Dakota! ❤

Only our generation would know that saying! 😂 I have to say that ‘military style showers’ don’t sound fun! ☺️ I bet there’s good showers at the grounds that you park at though? @DebbieNobodyneedstoknow1 we do have showers when we stay in rv parks or campgrounds, but sometimes, it's just easier (and cleaner!) to do a quick shower in our rv home. Happy, blessed Easter! ✝️🙏💕

Beautiful video Deb...of course course Dakato melts my heart with his every appearance! I love the transition at 6:36. That outdoor bathtub is awesome. I have an old tub similar to yours in my garage. I'd really like to have something like your. My wife would love it...I think. I know I would. That’s a great idea. You did a very good job on your own. Them old porcelain steel tubs work great. Nice area down there in the spring.

Lots of free water from the snow Deb, but I reckon once you're in the warm water you wouldn't want to get out during snowfall 🥶 I'm not that game at those temperatures 🥶 It's around 18C on an Autumn night here, that's more comfortable for me 😁 Awesome surrounds

Is that a high heat paint on the outside of tub? Dakota is such a joy and with your view from the bath, what blessings you have. Thx for sharing.

Hi Betsy! I’m not sure what kind of paint it is, but it doesn’t seem to be affected by the heat. it’s probably hard to see, but there’s a flat rock that covers most of bottom of the tub that takes the brunt of most of the direct flames.
