Great work mate I just shared this video link on the comment section of my unboxing video. I noticed that they advertise these now as 72cc

Thanks mate for sharing. Yeah Edisons changed their advertising a couple of months ago. About 2 weeks ago they called me and said they were going to check other products in their range. Lets see.🖒

I bought the SX72 which is advertised as 58cc, it cuts well with plenty of power, much more than my 52cc oleo mac.

they update the specs on their website now, for SX92 now it says 72CC. thanks.

I purchased one and had it thoroughly tested and turns out its a 92cc which would explain the weight. One web site advertises as a 72cc but thts before the upgrade fix

Don't know about the really old sx92, but if you bought the current sx92 which is a clone of Husqvarna 372xp, it is certainly not 92cc. It would actually be 70.7cc There is also a 48mm piston 65cc varient available from different brand If you have the larger than standard, 52mm piston & cylinder fitted, it would be around 76cc. This is maximum displacement for this chassis without extensive modifications. Thanks for watching.

False advertising at it's finest. But can't complain I have 2 sx92 saws they do the job 372 husqvana clone. Made in China. I've cut 60 tons of wood with the 2 there still going. Still cheaper than name brand. Use until there buggered and throw away and go again and your still in front.

Hey Steve, 💯agree, mine is still motoring on. I have even done some chainsaw mill work with it. Keep it tuned and look after it and they seem to run fine.

Hi Lewis, back when I bought mine,sx92 was specified as 92cc, sx82 82cc, sx75 75cc & so on. These where mostly lies. This all changed after I took this matter to Fair Trading. Currently Edisons specify sx75 as 62cc, but it's only 57cc, sx82 & sx92 are basicly the same saw @ 70.7cc, they are Husqvarna 372xp clones. Thanks for watching.👍

Area above piston at top dead centre is not displaced by piston, therefore not displacement. Just combustion chamber.

So basically it's a Husky 372 copy. I think the sx82 is the same but I would have to check the cc's

Yeah, It is a 372xp clone. I think your right there about the sx82. I did see a vid ages ago on Gavmans workshop he also measured sx82. It had same piston & stroke.

@@ozdatman yeah, mine is still running great, but just cutting firewood. Suggest always use decompression valve to reduce load on pull starter & be gentle with chain tensioner, gears are pretty crap. I haven't had issues with the above.

I bet that was Edisons. I have the older model Sx92 which looks identical to the Certa 88 (all parts are interchangeable) including piston, cylinder and crank (fancy that) so a 92 is exactly the same as a 88. Both are wrong as from memory ( I measured this some time ago) and they worked out to around 82. I can see how they figured out 88 from 82, they included the combustion chamber volume 6cc (which is the wrong thing to do) but to get 92 from 82 is just plain lying. Your saw where they have got 92cc from 70cc is Fraud....

Anthony I'm guessing the baumr ag 65cc brush cutters sold through the same company as these saws are not in actual fact 65cc either

I wouldn't be surprised, It seems to be common practice for Edisons to use false advertising on a number of their products.

since I made this video, I found a vid at Gavman's workshop, He measured his sx82 to have 50mm cylinder. I think both sx82 & sx92 have 36mm stroke. this would mean that both sx82 & sx92 have same engine displacement & are probably the same saw just with different sticker & price. I think there are 2 models of these available 65cc 48mm & 70.7cc 50mm check out huztl.net find G372XP specs & G372 specs. anyway, all Chinese saws require tweaking & messing around, eg stripped threads, poor assembly, no quality control. these ones have dodgy chain tensioner mechanism, flimsy log spikes guaranteed to bend, oil leaks standard. they are getting a bit pricey now, but if you must buy one of these, I would look at sx82

I have 2 sx62's, one 1st gen & one 2nd gen. They both have 48mm cylinder & 34mm stroke = 61.5cc. Dont have latest model but I think it is probably the same. Thanks for watching.
