Thanks for your channel. I’m a Baxi engineer and two little tips I can give you.. hang the burner onto the top two studs and start the nuts then put the injector and washer in. The other is particularly with the older models. Put a sniffer around the black gaskets with the tabs where the burner is held in. They dry out and can leak gas. Sometimes they are so bad they go to powder. Depending on boiler there are three types of seal. One with no tab, one with a rectangular tab and one with a fluted tab. Hope this helps.

One thing i would say is bro, when you do the flue integrity, do it with boiler case on. Otherwise when boiler case is off, the combustion air will be drawn in from the room, so if theres a blockage in the flue, you wont pick it up. Thats how ive been taught.

Grown to love this boiler because it's the one that keeps me warm in this miserable weather place.

Nice upload Cris.. Caution tip.... the rectification lead sitting on the floor of the chamber is actually a safety device for if the condense hose leaks.... Stops long term damage to the combustion chamber casing if un-noticed. All in all.. very nice boilers to work and service o

A little tip.........Any boiler with a Giannoni Hex has its own manufacturing date label on the underside of the plastic Hex chamber, gives a good idea of the boiler age 👍

Nice vid mate not serviced one of these. One question, I thought the flue would need an extension and come out past the overhang by 25mm I believe?

Boiler serial number.... After the letters the first 2 numbers is the week the second 2 numbers the year of manufacture this principle is the same for older Grundfos pumps where you see PC on the badge, very handy for taking a year of manufacture on boilers like Juniors, Logics etc.

Cp couple of things pal take the cupboard door off give you more light no need for 5 thousand torches 😂 Main eco elite doesn’t have separate electrodes and flame rec all together. Always check the gasket white Charing and measure flame rec think it’s 10mm from burner cone and 4mm +-1 for spark electrode. The 3/4 washer goes round the 3/8 thread it’s a second seal ( I was confused first time rang baxi) you can use ptfe aswell either works l. Behind the burner cone there’s another seal they crumble on them boilers part no 5114751 That boilers round about 2010 2012. Baxi serial numbers don’t work like Worcester just phone them up Them inspection hatches have to be close to elbow to inspect And page 27 manual possibly needs plumb kit on that as on balcony them older flues are not uv resistant so can’t extend flue Always run the boiler first custards lie last thing you want is someone saying it worked before you touched it. Also if you take the Hall effect off and take diverter head off open hot tap gives you enough time on a small circuit to test

When I do a strip service like that I don’t undo the gas connection but instead undo the 4 brass screws just above on the front of the collector. Should I not do that?

at 01:38 did you issue a warning notice for the non covered Trac pipe gas pipe? do you use just plain water on the heat ex, or do you add anything to it for the clean? would you get a reading from that gas connection - as it is under negative pressure - as its after the gas valve - so it would draw excess air in? good interesting strip down vid tho (personally I would have replaced the door seal - for peace of mind), look fwd to the next vid :) keep up the good work mate.

They aren’t perfect (what is ?) but on balance I’d probably say this is my favourite gas boiler…….Worcester should take notes for sure !

It looks like 2010 one as I had one like that put in 2008 but I never had the digital panel on mine

They are ok. But you cant beat Vaillant ecoTEC range. Bomb proof service valves, they never leak! Great drains offs X2. Everything acecable! Baxi, drain off awkard, vessel not great, PRV with grub screws. Main hex is fine and straight forward at least

Gas rate time has been changed to 1 minute now as well bud.

They only run in service mode for like 20 minutes

The gas industry is very confusing,a boiler service is classed in two sections which confuses people, you can have a non intrusive service which insurance company ask for which annoy self employed engineers and there is a full intrusive service which confuses customers
