@@jacksugden8190 It really has. When I heard the boring ‘pips and beeps’ theme in 1999 (apart from being very disappointed) I thought it might only last a few years. 24 years later and we’re still here. They’ve got to ditch it sooner or later and get something decent back

I well remember the theme tune - aged between fourteen and twenty three back then! Nick Witchell had hair!

Remember back then, a lot of sexism did exist in the newsroom - Sue Lawley said she experienced it, as newsroom was a man's world back then
