I believe garp has seen imu before, and realizes that there is a higher power at work behind the scenes, with that knowledge perhaps he raised dragon giving him knowledge that only someone that was chasing the pirate king would know, sparking his revolution

Not too long ago I was thinking how Law turned in those hundred hearts to become a shichibukai, but.. Blackbeard turned in Ace to do the same. Blackbeard is seriously blessed by circumstance because the world at large only knew of Ace being Roger's son at his execution, and the World Government offered Ace the position of shichibukai in the past. What are the chances that they found out about Ace's family because of Blackbeard ratting him out? He was on Whitebeard's crew with him and clearly others knew of his family because of Squard.. This was a fun thought, hopefully it's fun for others as well-!

Great collab ep! I truely believe Garp is not written to die for Koby. After what happened with Ace, him dying for someone else than Luffy would be such a disappointment. He, at least saw Ace live his own way until the end. I don't think he would want to directly assist Luffy in becoming pirate king, but he for sure should have the resolve to watch him live his way until he reaches his dream or dies trying. At the very least in don't expect Garp to die on Hachinosu.

There seems to be parallel between Shanks and Garp. In how they are both “watering the seeds of the new generation”… Specially after we see the little giant boy influenced by Shanks, which can signify that there are more than just himself and Luffy that have been impacted by Shanks. Garp has clearly made an impact on the marines with his title and heroic stories, Kuzan and Kobe are his disciples and look up to him, which will carry on into the next generation.

BB said to Kuzan that pirates don't have to be friends, as long as there is an allignment of interest they can work together. BB's interest is getting rid of the World Government and marines and their monopoly game over the One piece world. After Kuzan was defeated by Akainu and left the marines, he might have realised he can't change them from the inside like Garpbwas trying. So it is possible that he is taking a different route, still with the best intentions, to stop the WG using BB and his crew as a way to do so.. he might think it is the only way because the revolutionaries and most of the pirates probably would never trust him but BB is willing to work together anda in Kuzan's mind the BB pirates also have the power and brains to get it done. But i think the Straw hats will fight them all and make him change his mind and again see another new path that Luffy and the others show him while they confront eachother.. Could be wrong, but it sounds logical to me for it to go something along those lines

I'm still confused how no one knew Dragon was Garps son. It makes me think Garp had Dragon and just like Luffy, Garp gave Dragon to someone else to take care of him. But even still it seems after Dragon grew up, some hiw no one knew he was Garps son. So how, and what did Dragon do to be this well known

If you look at it from both sides. Power scaling and narrative, you can see Garp being on that level. People have to stop comparing him to Rayleigh. Rayleigh retired, Garp didn't. That's huge. Yes Garp isn't in his prime but he's still active. I really believe if Garp decided to fight White Beard in the war, Garp would of won. For multiple reasons. The way i see garp in hachinosu is like oda put himself between a rock and a hard place. On one hand garp should win given the bb pirates that are there atm. But plot wise, garp should loose. Oda threw himself intoa hard spot here in my opinion

I think when it comes to scaling things based on the size of it in the manga is not going to be accurate at all. Because, it’s known that the scaling of characters Oda draws is very inconsistent. Oda just draws what he likes and thinks looks the best for the page, imo.

I see it like this, can Shanks really be the only 1 currently stronger then Blackbeard. There has to be more people then that because how else is Blackbeard supposed to grow.
