"Whatever happens happens" will forever be my favorite quote. I want to add personally that when i decided to be "easy" all of my situations naturally began to solve themselves too externally. Remember that nothing can affect you but yourself.
*I also mention being able to get over anxiety in repetitive action, but what I forgot to specify was that you also have to be consistent in shifting your mindset on the topic, and on topics of fear, etc. I may make a series on overcoming anxiety in the future if you guys are interested, because it's such a large topic that varies and I would love to discuss my experience with/overcoming it. I've had several kinds of anxieties I've unlearned at different points in my life and would love to give you guys a more in detailed "answer" on such a heavy topic. Often I don't cover everything I would like to regarding topics in one video bc I try to do them in one take.

About anxiety and stress i had an intresting insight (not fully original but i have not seen it stated exactly like that). The "mantra" is "you are right here". So when you are stressed about something you have to do or a difficult thing that is to come, pay attention to where you are, what you are doing now and how your body is just resting in space. The thing you are anxious about is not here, it is an illusion of anticipation. If the thing that makes you anxious is here well that means you are dealing with it rn and you would not focus on the negative aspect of stress because you would be in a flow-like state.

I think both can be true. I think that certain things can for sure get better such as graduating from school or getting a car when you haven't had one but I also do agree that how we deal with problems is so important. Things don't get easier on our timetable and that's why it is so important to make the most out of life as it is.

*it's still you. despite everything, it's still you.* that has been one of my favorite quotes lately. we are all still ourselves and thank God (or science if you're atheist ig????) for that. going forwards, let's all be a little bit kinder to ourselves and stop wasting time thinking about what could've been. additionally, if you're working towards something, let the time pass. it won't happen overnight, and thinking about it constantly creates room for doubt. don't let it sink in. don't let the doubt win.

I don't know where this quote came from, but I think it might be of a similar mentality: "If you can't be happy now, you never will be", or "Happiness is a choice, not something you attain". I don't remember what the actual quote was, and it can be a bit short-sighted as it can be very difficult to be happy without certain things, but I have definitely found myself in different scenarios in my life (where my basic needs were met) where happiness was a choice and anything I "needed" in order to be happy never actually made my life happier or easier. (If anything, doing things like starting a new job, acquiring more money, buying more things, or making new friends would temporarily solve my problems, but usually came with their own complications).

The youtube algorithm loves daily videos, i think that's what's rocketing you up, remember not to overextert yourself! The topic of today is quite peculiar, a whole lot of people, specially teenagers, have it or have experienced it at some point, so i think it's a good throw. In this case, it makes me remember a quite similar topic, on coping mechanisms and the 3 main ones, wich i'd like to input because i think that you kind of wanted to express one of them without knowing about it(a bit trippy but you'll see). - Emotion focused: "This makes me feel this way, so i try to aliviate my emotions about it, without working out the problem itself". - Action focused(i just made that up, i forgot the fr name of it): "This makes me feel this way, so i try to fix the root cause of my emotions". - Cognitive reframing(fancy name for saying changing perspective on something): "This makes me feel this way, but because a have this perspective on it, so if i change it, my feelings about it will change". These are quite self-explanatory, specially with the tiny descriptions i put aside them, but it's basically that, and obviously, the emotion focused coping is the worst one of them, for example if i had an exam in a week and it makes me anxious, i'm anxious because i'm not sure if i will get the grade i want, so instead of studying to make sure i don't fail, i just game, procrastinate or forget about it all week, because i don't wanna feel anxious. But obviously that's just worse, i didn't fix the problem, i failed the exam, and i will be anxious the next exam. Action-focused, as i just named it, is quite a good one, and you could just force yourself to do stuff, since even when you don't think that it will work out, it may in the end be of use, and if not, doing something about it makes you feel better, like on the exam,if i study and fail anyways, well, i can say "i tried". The last one, wich is a little different it's just for problems that are constant and won't change whatever you do, or that's what i remember, wich is just think about it another way, and this is the one that i think Leilani tried to express a little bit, just "oh well, whatevs" and keep going on stuff that you have too much pressure on yourself, or just can't fix, like accepting or taking it another way without neccesarily accepting it. Sorry for bad english, weird expressions or not being clear while explaining, i woke up not so much ago, and i didn't even read my notes to write about this. In general, just do stuff, and if you tried and there's nothing to do it, and doing "sterile effort" doesn't help, change your mind about it. Great content, Leilani, keep it up!

because we associate the chaotic with the "natural" and structure with the normal, we become anxious when things become natural. the reality is, nature is normal. nothing is deterministic and nothing is assured. structure and organization are chaotic because the nature of things is to fall apart. when you make that flip in your head that the nature of things being fluid is what we consider "chaos" isnt actually, and its actually our structured society and reality that is chaotic then the entire world opens up and becomes easy to exist within always.

what a nice video 🥲 i've been going through a pretty bad period of anxiety, and this video has really changed my perspective on how i take my life. i've always had this big mental block where i run away from responsibilities, thinking it's gonna be super hard, while it's something i could get done with in like 1 hour, instead of stressing with it for the whole week. i'll try to take on this "easy" mindset more and live my life in a more joyful way :] thank you so so much for this video, you seem like an awesome person

"Whatever happens, happens" gotta be my favourite quote from Cowboy Bebop. Meditation really helps be easy because when you start getting anxious thoughts, you can just go back to the present and feel yout body. Nothing is really happening, you're safe. It really brings that anxiety down. Meditation and sleep are really good examples of how letting go and being easy can be helpful, as the more you think about it, the less likely you are to make it. Sometimes letting go of something like expectations and focusing on enjoying and learning from the process bring more results, but more importantly, brings joy and fulfilment. And it's like they came just naturally without effort!. In the beginning it's not easy being easy, but it sure is worth it.

"Whatever happens, happens" is incomplete and doesn't really work practically since it leads to some other bad results (e.g. nihilism, complacency etc). A better and more practical approach is this: "Can I solve this problem? Is it possible? If so, then I work to solve it. If not, then I do not stress about it, since I cannot do anything about it anyway". Simple as that, but much better. Good luck. P.s. Listen to the song "Easy" by Faith no More. It fits.

In the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy there's this part where the main character learns to fly. The way to fly is to throw yourself at the ground and miss, but if you try to fly you won't do it, you have to be totally unconcerned with flying. It's a pivotal moment in the book because it's the first time Arthur Dent really starts to feel like he is able to cope with the absurdity of the universe. Narratively he also begins to fly. Once he stops trying to go back to earth he manages to actually do it. Don't panic.

yes exactly!! this applies to so many things. one i've been thinking of lately, if you believe in "manfestation", it is said to be the reason some can't create what they want into their life. because when you are "trying", you are not doing. there is the subconscious knowing that this is something that will be 'difficult' because of the way you frame it in your mind and try to take control of it. It puts the topic of interest on a pedestal! let go and let your belief in the thing you want be as easy as breathing.

The reason I'm scary and difficult is because weird queer and gay are persecuted all throughout my pathway and I am narrowed to an iota of my potential and mocked and abused and trolled but only in this 'stage' or whatever but I am what I am and for me the ease is choosing to civicly disobey because no one is truly in charge not that we lack identities or choice or dreaming but that we have to link as all or nothing boom clap the sound of my heart
