Thabkd for the video. I have a question. You mentioned that you should use a certain better stamps for stamping stainless steel. Which I do. And have been having issues getting deep letters. But you didnt suggest or say what type or brand is the ones best for stainless steel. Which ones should I buy? Thanks. I did go to the website on your list and looked at at the stamps but didnt know which was which. Thanks for your help if u can.

I know this is an old post. I recently purchased the Impress Art Newsprint Premium set and I am having issue with getting it too work for me on silverware. Can you recommend other hammers to try?

thank you for the info/warning about only using stamps that are hardened for use with Stainless Steel. i might otherwise have impulsively (in my excitement, or enthusiasm) grabbed an inappropriate stamp or set.

Hi, I have impress art stainless steel stamps and I just cannot seem to get an impression onto my vintage silver spoons. Can you please advise? It's sooo hard...

+Mikaela Nell sorry for the late reply! Some spoons are harder than others. Unfortunately there is no way to tell how hard it is until you start stamping. Have you tried a larger hammer, maybe a 2 lb hammer? I have started stamping on the handles more than the "bowls" of spoons because you are right, sometimes the spoon is just too hard.

+linda flatt sorry for the very late reply. We had a shift in employee duties that resulted in some youtube comments slipping through the cracks! In this video we are using 1/8" stamps.

I tried to do this last night. I failed really bad. I couldn't get the letters to go through. I had to walk away slowly and not curse. Does it matter where you get the letter metal stamps from? I bought them at Michael's.

Hi Christine. yikes, sorry you never got a response from us on this. It doesn't matter so much where you got the stamps but the stamps have to say specifically that they are rated to stamp on stainless.
