I do not understand how thinking observant people don't see that animals are sentient beings with souls. The arrogance of humans to say "we are so special, so chosen, only we have sentient thoughts, feelings, compassion, etc.". We even create myths we call religion to make that inexcusable arrogance (what our deepest animal instincts know is wrong) more palatable.

I’m so tired of all the sycophantic content from KZfaqrs. Where have all the real people gone??? Thanks Colette for being real. I spent an hour in the garden yesterday, before work, watering and weeding. Enjoying the peace and the birds. Had to come in at 8.30 and found myself feeling really annoyed by clocks and calendars. Nature has no such thing… it ebbs and flows, seasons influenced by the sun and moon. Yet here we are made to live defined by time. And now the clock has further influence in the name of a platform tiktok… where ticking time is of the essence, when getting content out. It’s dumbing us all down. Concentration spans are shot. Thank heavens for nature…. and books.

Collette,. I’m in the U.S., 73 years old, have my moral compass, beliefs, principles, opinions, and am very much in the minority with my views, where I live. I won’t be changing them, and I do “vote” with my wallet, support business owners with similar views, refuse to purchase from those who do not. I will continue to live my beliefs.

I wish we were neighbors!!! I'm 73 and in the same boat in a small town in the PNW. I was, decades ago both a war correspondent (from the Nicaraguan jungles) and the editor of an international anti-war, etc. newspaper, and I'm still thoroughly addicted to knowing the underpinnings of current events. It may be of interest to you to know that we have a viable revolutionary candidate running for the presidency. A woman who's also 73, coincidentally. Read Jill Stein's platform, listen to her interviews, check out her activism for Palestine and look closely at who her donors are. I subscribe to the old adage TAKE THE RIGHT ACTIONS REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME. So, for me personally, I'm in the struggle for the long haul and whether or not she wins I know I know I've followed my conscience. Oh, how I wish we could share a cup of coffee and talk together. I know of no one here that even cares enough to know the basics about the situation we're in. It's in these comment sections I find myself in the best company. You warm the cockles of my heart, Dear! ❤

I am writing you from Costa Rica. I am a US citizen who is so discouraged and just fed up with what's going on in the world that I chose CR as a refuge. Believe me, CR has plenty of problems too, but they are a much nicer people to live among. We bought this property over 8 years ago when we decided to change our lifestyle and try to keep our sanity. Your channel has given me so much peace and calmness and its my go to when I need it. I agree stay true to yourself and if people don't like it, move on. I don't agree with everything you say (overwhelmingly, I do) but I always walk away from your channel with food for thought and I carry that through my day. Keep on being you, its why we all are here. Many Blessings.

Dear Colette, I've been watching your videos for years and you and your property have been very inspirational. As one who lives in the USA, I'm very unhappy with the state of things here...very concerned about what will happen. Even though I have decided on ethical ways to live and purchase, I fear that my small choices just won't make a difference in the craziness around me. I am attempting to find and maintain a place of peace, but feel like a minnow in a pool of sharks.

I'm also in the US. I'm 73 and have been studying the dirty underbelly of the US Empire for about 50 years. Decades ago I was a war correspondent from deep in the jungles of Nicaragua, then the editor of an international anti-war, etc. newspaper from the heart of the 9 missile states. Now I live in a small town in the PNW where I'm attempting to tell people about the chance we have to elect an outstanding woman, also 73, for our president. Few actually listen, either because they don't care or because they've essentially given up hope of substantial change. But I carry on nonetheless, because I care. I couldn't respect myself if I didn't. If you read Jill Stein's platform, listen to interviews with her, watch her speak (and even get arrested for it!) at demonstrations for the Palestinians, and- very importantly- research who her donors are, I feel sure you'll find something that will satisfy your need actually make a difference. Whether or not she wins (and now she can!) isn't, in the final analysis, as important as knowing I've been socially responsible and followed my conscience. ❤

I'm in my mid 70's and although I was adopted and my parents were short in funds they were rich in kindness. In those days a hug was a rarity and as my parents were the same age as the other children's grandparents rather Victorian; but the values they taught me have served me well through all life's vicissitudes. What I always remember was what my dad said to me when once again I came back from Sunday school with the little envelope for the missionaries. His philosophy was that if everyone just did their best to be kind to those who touched their lives the world would be a better place. I think the Worlds gone to hell in a handcart and I'm not sure where its going to next but I am so grateful for having been a child of the fifties and sixties and that I can escape the madness down on my allotment and out in the country on my walks. Rant on Colette

At 58, lost my job/career in 2022, after relocating from east to west coast in the US 4 years prior for the job. I drove 3 days back to the east, started renovating an old rental home so I could move back in (2 months of contractors, cleaning and work before I could move back in). ..turned 60 in Feb, still not working and still glad I stood my ground completely alone. Stopped following religion years ago, no family in my state, I have no children and all of my friends here and family that live in other states followed the fear. Had a co-worker, young healthy man, 41 who just fell off a bicycle and died soon after following the rule. This world is not what we think and also appreciate Collette speaking on this. Thanks for sharing your comment.

I agree with your rant, Colette. I would just add that when you said, "vote with your pocketbook", people should do that with cash. Credit and debit cards are very convenient, but there is a price to be paid for convenience. The powers-that-be want us to give up cash because they can save money with less customer service, they can track what we buy, where we buy and where we travel. That is something I find rather alarming. I also find that spending cash makes you re-think your purchase because handing over that money hurts much more than tapping a card on a machine. Also, I think a lot of young people would benefit from going back to using cash as it would strengthen their basic math skills. Take care and thank you for saying out loud what many of us are thinking.

Yes! l do the same pay with cash. l am also seeing how they are dismissing people and replacing them with machines. l always take the lines with cashiers no matter the wait. The young people rather wait in long lines to pay at a "check out" in order to be cool. They don't understand there is a "quiet" training happening among our young people to prepare them for the future. Yes, they will have a price to pay, but it will be too late.

It all makes me sick, what "they" are all saying, and we can not trust any of them. You speak so much sense Colette. I have become a recluse now, which I love, and I know folk could say that the politics do influence the way I live, because of the price of things, and how things work, but I LOVE nature, and hate seeing anyone harming Mother Earth. I grew up in a family who was Conservative, but until I was older, I did not understand what this meant. I was born in 1956, so I believed what my parents said was right, and never questioned it. I was educated in a private school, which I hated, as I was bottom of the class, and never fitted in, but my dear Father thought that he was giving me the best start in life, that he did not have. I wish that I had been self educated, as that would have been the right way for me. I am now 67 years young, and am scared of what the future may hold, but like my lovely greyhound Madge, I try to just live each day as it comes now. I follow you because I believe in a better life. We can only hope for good things to come. Blessings to you too, from Jilly & Madge. xxx

I live in Texas and I am not proud to admit that anymore. My prayers for our country is that those in power will put our nation and its citizens first before their own selfish interests. Back in those days (2021 especially) all day, everyday, I had running through my head 'what the hell is going on? What's wrong with everyone?', but I was scared to say it out loud and just kept my head down about my own decision to say no to it all. One of the best pieces of advice I've ever been given came from a wise woman at that time - step into your sovereignty. I have now, those days of trying to avoid confrontation by meekly pretending to comply are over. I've stepped into my sovereignty. Blessings to you Colette x

Agree 100%❤In Germany we have a government which not only does not represent interests of the citizens, in fact nowadays it is obvious that they make politics AGAINST the population, which is a crime in itself. A lot of people leave the country because it has become a madhouse☹️

Listening to you "rant" bought tears to my eyes because I so agree with everything you said. Just say NO, vote with your purse, you can do anything you put your mind to, these all came out if my parents mouth growing. They were so ahead of their time! I got side tracked back in 2020 and its taken me awhile to get back my senses. I will NOT be side tracked ever again. Thank you for being you and sharing . Peace be with you.

I’m watching Ballykissangel on Britbox and in one episode they shoved a ram in a box and hoisted it up in the air for a town festival. A female farmer was outraged. She wanted the priest to help her steal it back to put into the pasture. He said what’s the difference? It doesn’t have a soul! I nearly came unglued! It never ceases to amaze me, Colette, the lies we’ve been told over the years. Not just religion, politics and school, but everywhere! There are some things I conform to for convenience, being in the US, but I certainly have my limits. My moral compass is pointing in the right direction for sure. I’m definitely an outcast in my town and family. Whatever! I loved your kitchen chat~Not ranting, but sharing! Nothing wrong with being real. Bright blessings to you and Patsy ♥️♥️

Indeed the divine spark is in every living thing. And every living thing will return to it's creator. The ignorance and downright arrogance of much of mankind (such as that priest) is disgusting. That false sense of superiority will be taken down one day. Many surprises in store.

2.25pm. I just listened to your rant. I thought it was quite mild! My sons Mop died last. Sadie his youngest daughter aged 5 said a little prayer for him at Playschool and her teacher sent a little WhatsApp of her saying the prayer. Sadie was so sincere as she was doing it. Maybe things have improved somewhat since your children were at school. Gregory my son will be 45 on Saturday. My daughter Emily has ordered A House on 3 Acres for me and I'm giving it to him. My spiritual journey started the day he was born but that's another story. Thanks so much Collette Blessings to you. Ann Mc Lucas 😊

Lead kindly light....some people are already switched on....others are not so evolved. BUT after recent worldly events many have seen this light like a switch going on. Truth and love are more powerful and this energy we are gravitating towards. Collette, your job is to keep showing us the garden...the simple beauty...the peace. Share the colours, sounds, smells, air, the garden journey. We loved seeing Jack running around carefree and happy and now another little happy dog. Your garden is like a meditation an escape from our worries and fears...and tears. Your garden is a healer...a sanctuary. Focus on the the beauty of new colourful fruits and veg herbs and flowers. Quietly take out the weeds...the hard work of clearing and pruning and digging. See how the garden evolves into glorious beauty and tranquility. The world for each generation has its problems and troubles...but when we stumble on a breathtaking view...please try and leave the dirty laundry of these challenging times... (or time to come) in the laundry room. We must chop wood and fetch water...carry on. Just for 10 minutes we can be in your peaceful garden and feel restored, replenished, rejuvenated re-energised. For one small garden can save the world.

I can say without hesitation that we are no longer represented in the U.S. either and haven't been for a long time. Yet, people continue to insist that this or that candidate will be better, all the while they're all singing the same old song but just to a different tune. I no longer participate in it, and have remained a philosophical observer, laughing each time I see the folly of their various attempts at being relevant. You are 100% correct about Nature never changing. It continues to be my solace and will be to my dying day.

Do yourself a favor, if you still care about this country, Rachael. I'm 73 and have been "fighting the good fight" for over 50 years now, both for my self-respect and because I do care about the 3 1/2 million others that also share this country. Decades ago I was the editor of an international newspaper and learned to thoroughly check data and sources. True to form, I've done that with Jill Stein. Her background, her current actions, her interviews and, most importantly, who her donors are. She not only checks out in all counts, she's now a VIABLE candidate for the presidency. I can't, in good conscience, sit this one out and just give up. I hope you don't do that either, Dear. Chances like this are extremely rare. ❤

I believe animals have beautiful caring souls! I find i like animals more than humans. My husband is battling cancer right now. Our cat is such a comfort to him. He calls him his C.A.T caregiver assistant technician! We feed the birds , chipmunks, and have bunnies in our yard. I feel closer to God walking in the woods than i would in any church. I live in the USA . Right now I try to ignore the craziness happening. I focus on my family. We also buy food at our local farm and live simply. I wish more people were as level headed as you Collette. All the best to you and the wee girl❤

Dear Colette, thank you for publishing these words here! They don't want to realize the truth about that fact that we can decide every single day. Or to say it with the words of Friedrich Schiller: "The great cease to rule when the small cease to crawl. Most seem to prefer to crawl and beeing victims and do never notice they are...
@mikeinportland30
@mikeinportland30 17 күн бұрын
Those who have been crawling perhaps are starting to straighten up. The whole of the western world seems to be voting to throw out the current party in power in their country regardless of its political bent. It's a sign people have reached their breaking point. Will this continue and be another global sea chance (ala the 1500's, late 1700's, 1848, post WWII) or will things die back down? I'm guessing it's an historical moment of change. I sense it, Colette is sensing it (thus her rant), and I think you are sensing it as your mind harkens back to Schiller's observant quote.

Life is what you make it, words my Mom always said to me. As a young adult I hated being told that. Now soon to turn 78, waking up to the rants from politicans & trolls since 2016 I'm tired of it all also. I was lucky to wake up this morning to peace & quiet, bird songs & watching your morning rant. I feel the people of this planet are tired & I see more kindness lately, it doesn't take as much energy to smile & be kind, than to fill your day of hate. I've only recently found out I'm part Irish & enjoy your life & lessons of the Irish. Have a peaceful day from upstate New York.

Blessings to you too Colette, and of course Patsy. I feel that many of us (those who are aware more so) are totally done with all the nonsense that is happening around us at this time. Common sense is not common anymore, and I feel that the best that we can do is to hold our light, think positively, and generate a joyful energy to project out to all that exists. Of course, we need to 'get it off our chest' as well with all the stupidity and toxicity that we are dealing with. (Keeping this simply worded for the YT nonsense). Anyone who is not kind to animals will not be kind to humans. Sending you both love, nurturing, and support in all you do. Love from Australia. xxx

Colette, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are one very incredible woman! As I was listening to you talk I felt a very powerful and emotional surge of energy within me which tells me us like-minded souls are deeply connected. I have followed you for many years here on KZfaq and from the beginning I have felt there is something incredibly special about you and it's not just because you are present here on social media. You would create this special energy even if you were not! The start to this video really made me laugh! Yes the dreaded C raising it's ugly head and sending the world into a spiral of insanity! I smelt a big fat rat right from the start of all that, the deliberate fear mongering in the news etc. I am Un-vd and boy am I glad I am part of the push back tribe! Very funny when you said in your strong Irish "well, I could have told them that!" I nearly fell off my chair laughing!! You Colette are a shining beacon of light to all. Please don't ever stop your little "rants" because it raises awareness and gets people thinking and re-evaluating. If people don't like what you have to say they can move on but I for one will always stand strong with you because we have the same values in this life. Love to you and Patsy x

On the subject of animals and souls. Oh of course an animal has a soul absolutely! Even the tiny ant on the floor has a purpose and a need to complete it's life work. Animals are far more in tune with all that is beyond this life too, more so than humans. You only have to see how a dog might react after the death of an owner to know they have a deep and sensitive compassion and deep feelings. I too turn my back on closed minded religion.

I imagine her saying one should always go for a walk after a good rant mum.

Try to step out of your routine of the work of caring for your mom periodically (mentally and physically) and just sit and be with her, maybe just hold her hand or or look at her or whatever language your family uses to understand. You will be grateful for those moments when she is gone and they will be what you remember even when 99% of your care actually involves work. I was there, I know. The care givers are under appreciated, but not by those receiving the care even if they can't, don't express it.❤️🙏
