Hello Colette, thank you for the video, Yes it does make a big difference letting household items go, or moving furniture around. I'm on my own, my family aren't local , so what does one do, sit and wait for them to visit and help, of course not, I'm an independent 73 year old, learnt very early in my life if it needs doing get on with it. No need to strain yourself or procrastinate over it if your able just do what you can, Myself and my sisters are likeminded. When the work is done it's time to have a chat over a cuppa with friends or a day out somewhere, Life isn't all work no play, it shouldn't grind us down. When you were talking about it’s our energy and how we decide what we feel. You reminded me of my mom. She was very much of manifesting good health. She passed at the age of 91. No medications. She even mowed her yard 3 days before she passed in her own bed, in the room and house she was born in.

Hi Colette, you are a very busy lady and do mind your shoulders, I’ve had three shoulder surgeries years back with two screws on the last one, the cottage looks lovely. You will enjoy the new hair color, I’m 66 and started growing the dye out in 2020, I receive compliments from women 40’s to 60’s years in age quite often, I love the natural highlights. On being positive in this time of life and the crazy world, we loss our younger adult son suddenly in 12/2020, my husband, older son (mental challenged) and myself are forever changed, I think of him several times a day after 3 1/2 years its there the empty space and his love and laughter. I went to see my cardiologist the other day. He asked me if I do any exercise. I told him, no, not really. I told him I do move furniture! He asked me if I had help and I said, nope, I just do! I've moved all the furniture in my living/dining room. Didn't like it, so I moved it ALL back! He didn't say anything just typed in his notes! I always move furniture around. I feel it changes the chi/vibes/energies in the room.

Just love your plain old common sense Colette, decluttering or change brigs a new energy to spaces. I live in a village surrounded by trees and nature, vital to wellbeing.... just wish people would look up from their phones and notice their surroundings. Blessings.🌳

My son has autism Colette and he struggles with sound and as a result he never likes me to put anything on tube in his presence but he never ever complains about your voice and he loves bealtaine Cottage and also he adored jack. Our neighbour now has a dog that looks like jack called Daisy and every time he sees daisy he speaks about Jack the vegan dog...he loves that video...he says can I watch jack the peas ❤ x

I'm 79 and I just moved all my furniture around. Staying fit and healthy is almost my priority. Like you, I have a large garden, a lovely little old house, and drawing painting and craft works. I don't want to ever have to stop, (probably inevitable one day) but until then I will keep at it. And I also am shocked by the state of things in this world. I agree about "flipping" our brain or thought process. Personally, when I find myself going down that rabbit 🐰 hole, I think of things that I'm grateful for, I look at my surroundings and speak my gratefulness out loud...even if just for a plant, or my pup or fresh water or the fact that I woke up this morning 😊 There is so much good in this universe and the more we put our collective energy into acknowledging that "good" the more it will present itself! One of the things I've always liked about your home is how you move the furniture around in your sitting room quite often. It's nice to let the corners air! Like you, I live alone, and I often wonder how I manage to move, lift and shift some of the bigger pieces in my home, on my own. I don't have the patience to wait for the cavalry!

I love giving things away also. My 2 daughters get first picks . They call it shopping at Moms. If no one wants the item I put it on the curb with a sign that says free. The only thing I've had to bring back in was an exercise bike!😅

Colette, Marie Kondo writes perfectly about declutter in her books. She explains in it from spiritual aspect what is happening on spiritual level if we own a lot of stuff. In 2015 I did declutter in my appartement I lived at that time and after declutter energy of my life was completely changed. A lot of stuff we do not practicaly use but posses drains our energy always. We need to take care of it etc.

Hi Colette I agree with what you are saying for the most part except for me in my situation I was not feeling physically well and capable of doing my job anymore. I did complain because I don't look my age and ppl did not understand, my job is physically demanding. I had to advocate for myself as much as I hated to do it. My hours are cut back and as my name suggests I am now semi retired. Now that I'm not working as much I'm feeling much better. I will stop complaining about my health now since I'm feeling better. Hello Colette. I have always held that you should keep your Stanley and have it reconditioned. It is a sweet little stove. I like the style of it and it functions so well. We have a Home Comfort ( 1930) which was made in MO. It was a family piece that I restored. I colored my hair until 2020, after retirement from the workplace. At first it was frustrating, but I am much happier with my natural state. No fuss and it is fine. Well your talk hit home! Yes, we have two choices. The negative takes me down and serves no purpose.~ Diane
