I learned a lot by watching your videos, how long do you usually need to figure out the values and effects and such? The videos always look simple and easy but I bet it'd take a few hours to make the tutorial..

@McCrearyPaige I did it in Photoshop 7.0 from 2002, so yes. However, I don't think smart features is available in CS3 - it's not in 7.0. It really doesn't change the overall image noticeably though...

Excellent tutorial, but I have a problem as I am a beginner. I've created the same text as shown in the clip above (looks good in my opinion). However I really want to use the beer font and add more text, but the layers obviously only work on the four letters (beer). Does somebody know if it's possible to now use this font in for example after effects.. I need it for a short movie I'm making. Thanks!!

Hey Howard, I think it would be sweet if you had gotten the new wacom intous 5 tablet, and made a few videos about it. Maybe you could even get some advertising cash from wacom. It's a really great product, and it makes me sad that there is little to no information/videos about it.

@TheDayGamers make friends with someone who can draw cartoons well. you don't have to do everything yourself. And if you're really dead set on doing it yourself there are plenty of drawing tutorials on the web already.

I don't know why, but i can't add the - Highlight mode - screen - because it's gray Also the shadow mode screen is gray:( why is that? can you help me?
