God, I remember Nomikoma's original thread. At first it felt like the toxicity of DCS larpers (not saying DCS players in general are larpers, but they do have larpers that need to chill out), but I realized it was a transplanted version of RB players shitting on AB players for no reason

9:07 this is sooooo funny cause rn most rage quitters are on the blue side cause now they face some planes(Su-27 and J-11) that at least can kinda compete with F-16’s and F-15’s in BFM and because they’re used to always winning dogfights by just pulling as hard as they could which is similar to how it works in air RB if you’re in the F-16 or in the Gripen and now when red team got planes that can rate with more than 20deg/s if you’re good at keeping speed they’re losing cause if you just pull as hard as you can in the F-16 it will decelerate until ~500kmh and will rate with 19deg/s at this speed without any further brain activity which was enough to outrate MiG-29SMT and in most cases 29A but now it isn’t enough to outrate Su-27 if it keeps its speed and F-16 also loses low speed 1C fight to the Su-27 so even with very high chances to win against Su-27 by just keeping 16’s speed above 650kmh IAS they always lose and leave lmao😂

One of the most enjoyable games ive had at top teir sim was a pairing of me in a mig-29SMT and my friend in a su-27. The mig-29smt's decent situational awareness and target identification (fancy rwr) paired with raw kill potential of the flanker made a really enjoyable blue team stomping combo.

Nah bruh Russian bias is so real. People complain about the F104 at 9.3-7 with aim9b or whatever it’s at now but there are two MiG-21 at the same br and 25-30G R60s at 10.0 😂

I'd say russian bias exists for ground non penning on the flat sides of T-72s and T-80s with apfsds and non penning or hitting ammo directly only for it to do nothin... as for air idk don't play it enough (tho the su-25s survivability is a bit bull in ground) anyway nice gameplay

I don't have true ground top tier yet, but lots of nations have particular tanks with random pieces of armour that'll cause shells to move into a different plane of existence. To me it just seems Russia has more. But for arb low tier Russia is so undertiered and the only thing limiting kills is your aim. Spitfire above you? Dive away. American plane diving on you? Turn away. 109 diving on you? Dodge with your superior maneuverability and shoot him while he's pitching up, he'll have to evade and stop climbing. Spit on the same level? Drain his energy in a turn or two and take him vertical. American/109 on the same level? Leave the poor guy alone he has no chance. I don't have Russian top tier air yet just rank 3 but from fighting it there's not too much overpowered stuff, though the su-25 though can keep flying after taking 300 20mm ap rounds up the engine from 100 meters while the a-10 will smash into the ground after being shot by a 7.62. Well that's my rant about how overpowered Russian low tier air is.

Oh boy, go play these biased vehicles. You will find out that they are worse not only in numbers. However there are bugs since they added volumetric armor. Hstvl, leopards (side armor is paper but horizontal plates ruin volumetric shells), Is-2 and many many other vehicles tank too much sometimes. Its an easy way - to blame gaijin for adding -anyNation- bias, but actually its some true nazi shit lol. You should experience both sides to judge.

Hey, im looking into getting to play sim for """"fun""""" but i got one question, if you have a stick, can you still use your mouse to control the camera? Is there a setup that would allow this. Since the biggest hindrance i encountered was that i need to constantly press C to look around, but then I cant steer. Thanks in advance.

I am just using an X56 throttle. It's nothing special but does the job.

I would say f16 has always been a bit better than mig29, at least in my playing of them in rb. Since release. Becoming more so since.

Controversial opinion. The Yak-141 is the strongest sim plane. Want to out turn/turn into your enemies? VTOL. Want to be invisible to radar? VTOL on the deck. Insert third reason here? VTOL. I think the ability to stealthily sit in the middle of the map with R-27ET's makes it particularly nasty. Really, rat/grub tactics at the end of the day.

My opinion is that the G Limited F-16 was worse in RB because most of the game is spent at speeds above Mach and not being able to point the nose at those speeds or turn quickly enough was a substantial disadvantage. Also at the time the MiG-29 was very strong in its initial turns. DEFYN has a 1v1 video that shows how good the old 29 performed relative to the 16...it was a real threat until things got slow.

So sim now is just fly on the deck and spam missles ? Lol. I used to only play vietnam , afghan , and sarai for the mountains and views. I disliked the flat maps.
