Стоит компания друзей, подходит ещё один и обращается к конкретному человеку из компании: - как дела? - у меня хорошо, а у тебя? В этом случае "у меня" уточнение что ты обращаешься именно ко мне. Некоторые потерянные люди могут говорить "у меня" даже если никого больше рядом нет и ясень пень что спрашивают именно у них

@@MarkLee1 Если после «я» поставить многоточие и вопросительный знак, то очень даже говорят. Не уверен, что вы знаете все тонкости. Как насчёт сравнительно нового выражение «Я его знает?»? Казалось бы, вообще всему противоречит, всем правилам, но вот так с некоторого времени стали так говорить.

@Работаем, брат! That's one way of understanding it, I guess. How about "I have (it) good." "For me, things are good /going well."? Understanding meaning is truly valuable. So many things can be inferred. To me , preciseness from people when they expees themselves, is always very much appreciated.

I can tell you're putting a lot of effort into these and making them watchable and funny. One thing in particular I really like about your style is that you explain the logic behind why the words are said, instead of just teaching the translation without context. Feodor, Your English is excellent! An assignment for you: learn the difference between "to lay" and "to lie." These are VERY tricky verbs, so they are misused by the vast majority of Americans, so impress everyone by using them correctly. Hint: learn the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs. Examples: "I lay the book on the table" versus "I lie down for a nap." I enjoy your videos very much!

Разница между "ложить" (to lay) и "лежать" (to lie)? Есть такая. Но "lie" также означает "ложь", или "лгать". И вот тут люди и начинают использовать "lay" вместо "lie".

It's awesome that you explain some of the concepts I struggled with while earning a Russian degree. Several visits to Russia and Ukraine helped me to begin to think in the language. Now, decades later I'm scrambling to get it all back so I can speak with my Ukrainian girlfriend. I do great until I get on a video call with her 😳😬 Lucky for me she's patient, encouraging, and a sweetheart 😄

I would advise you to be careful with such videos. They are like kitchen recipes: being correct ad hoc, they create wrong picture in general. Just be careful, don't follow the recipes, try to get into the principles.

The example with "ты любишь я?" is similar to "do you love I?", oblique case maps to somethings different than nominative, into accusative here Меня не позвали (меня не пригласили) - literally, [they] didn't invite me; I was not invited - я не был приглашён Меня там не будет - literally, there will be no me there; one can say, however, я не буду там [присутствовать] - I will not be there, although it's more common to hear that phrase without negation as a confirmation: я буду там (я там буду) - I will be there У меня есть [что-то] - literally, there is [something] on/with me; I have - literally, я имею, but it is being used less nowdays, usually in phrases like я имею шанс [на что-то] (I have a chance), я имею в виду (I mean)

@@Hekosa_ , да, знаю, но всё равно это выражения изначально было японским, а потом через аниме, мангу, ранобэ перешло в русский язык ("わたし" переводится как "Я" или теперь по-русски "Ваш покорный слуга", зависит от контекста, я не филолог или переводчик, так что это больше догадки, мог бы объяснить более детально, но слишком много пояснений и текста придётся написать, не люблю это, так что можно сказать, что это "несовершенный синоним")

7:14 Actually я changes into меняa, for the same reasons that in English "I" changes into "me": Я люблю тебя = I love you. Ты любишь меня. = You love me.

same as in Mexican Spanish.. I- Yo , Me- Mi Я люблю тебя = Я (ya) люблю тебя(ti v ya) Ты любишь меня. = Ты(ti) любишь меня(me n ya) . Я люблю тебя = I love you = Yo'te quiero (ё'тэ керо) Ты любишь меня. = You love me = Tu'me quires (ту'мэ керес) In MXN spanish you can drop the personal pronoun because ending conjugation of the verb gives away who is the personal pronoun, so you don't have to repeat yourself.. Russian also does this too. You can't do that in English I think in Iberian Spanish, they have to say, te quiero a ti , me quieres a mi < you're repating yourself 3 times> te quiero = тэ керо Me quires=мэ керес люблю тебя = you love(from I) = te quiero = тэ керо любишь меня.= me love(from you) = Me quires=мэ керес

As russian, I have such a problem when speaking english. It feels wrong when you need to say "I", and "I am" for many times, especially in chats. Though in russian there are no needs in many 'Я's, because the verb says about first person.

and the verbs in past tense having gender and number but don't have a person (because in the past it was a special participle using with "быть" forms, like есмь, еси, есть, есмы, есте and суть)

same goes for another slavic languages, i'm from slovakia and я here sounds exactly as russian (ja), no need to use it everytime, sometimes it's needed but it depends on a context. the following verb is to let you know which person you're talking about

Привет! Слово "видео" является средним родом, поэтому вместо слова "этот" надо написать слово "это". А так всё верно, ты молодец

Haha, for the second one it's the same in german. "Mir ist heiß/kalt" is the exact same thing you'd say in russian. Mir = мне, heiß = жарко, kalt = холодно 😁

That's right. Much of the Russian grammar logic is easy to understand for German speakers. Especially noun declension for different cases and verb conjugation.

German and Russian have four cases in common. Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative. Now Russian has two more cases; Instrumental and prepositional

The "U menya est' " is oddly similar to how we Hungarians perceive the possessive. Van (nekem) egy almàm. Which is literally translated as "est' (menya) od'in jabluko. Fun fact: Hungarian and Russian are not related languages, but they may share certain "innovations" or perceiving things in the same way. If these innovations breach a certain treshold (by quantity) they would mark a sprachbund. To go further, although unrelated to Russian, I thought many times that certain innovations and shared properties of Finno-Ugric, Turkic, and Mongolic, with possible addition of Koreanic and Japanese languages lived so close together they developed shared features thus forming a sprachbund, hence the similarities between these languages. Maybe Hungarian adopted more slavicism then I initially thought. 👀👀👀 Great Channel, I will certainly check this channel more in the future!

actually, it's the other way round. russian adopted this grammatical structure from finnish, if I'm not mistaken, which then got carried onto ukrainian and belarusian. and knowing that finnish and hungarian are related, it's no wonder it sounds so similar

Hi! It's not a perfect solution, but just under the video where there are 3 dots beside 'save', you have the option to open the whole transcript. It's not perfect (there are usually some mistakes), but that might help you??

Sorry, but we never say “У меня хорошо/ плохо». Instead we might say “У меня ВСЁ хорошо/ плохо». Most commonly you’d hear “(Да) всё нормально», «Всё отлично», «Всё замечательно», of when things are not so good «Всё потихоньку/ по-старому, Всё так-себе», or very informally “Все супер/ пучком/ зашибись/ класс(но)/ ништяк», and when things are bad, informally, «Всё стрёмно/ отстойно, Хуже нету (не бывает), Полный пипец».

Well, I I've never used "ништяк" "всë по тихоньку" and things like this. On the other hand I usually say "у меня хорошо"(if it's good) "у меня не очень"(if it's bad). So don't speak for all Russians. I think it really depends from place to place and person to person

For your information - I put a number of your phrases into Google and they came up with Я . . . but when I used Yandex they came up with мне . . . Is мне used for describing age because we are not in control even of our own age? Am I right in thinking that basically меня is used when "me" would be used in English? English would say "do you love me?" not "do you love I?"

Me can be мне or меня as well. Depends on cases or prepositions before them. In general you're right.
