“Before the Lord”

This momentous national occasion was marked by rejoicing, sacrificing, dancing, and shouting, with King David himself leading the procession, leaping before the Lord. When he returned home, though, he met his wife Michal’s disapproval for his undignified actions. His explanation? “It was before the Lord.” Alistair Begg challenges us to consider whether we, too, are willing to worship selflessly, exuberantly, and unashamedly in the Lord’s presence.

Hi Alistair...this is the Mario from Scotland you quoted at the end of this sermon...im AKA Marco!🤣🤣 I remember that Wednesday well! You're definitely right...I just wanted to worship the Lord by lifting my hands!...this was not the normal custom but I needed to do it...before the Lord!...when I noticed you with your hands up worshiping I was greatly encouraged! Hope you and Sue and family are well .

My two favorite expressions throughout the Bible is 'the Son of Man' and 'Before the Lord'. I say them to myself a lot. I love the way they ring in my head. Excellent message and very insightful!

@@barbaraw4699 we are truly the blessed of the Lord, his peculiar treasure. Abundant thanks to the Lord Christ and our precious Heavenly Father who enables us to serve him with all our hearts 😹 💕. He is yours and you are his!! Oh what a lovely portion we have 😅 are prayer is that the Lord our God will give himself to us and let us give ourselves wholly to him. We have a God who will not tolerate our affection to any other God or idols. The Lord doesn't want our gifts but us our hearts ❣️ Blessed Saviour!!

Just a little additional musical note ( so to speak): "It was the duty of the [musicians] to MAKE THEMSELVES HEARD IN UNISON IN PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD ", and when that happened, THEN the house of the LORD was filled with a cloud, so that the priests couldn't even stand to minister because of the glory of the LORD! 2 CHR. 5: 11-14

Good to know. It always kind of amazes me how people who speak and really have a duty to find out how to pronounce things properly, don't. And it's so easy to find these things out these days, especially. But maybe go a little easy on the dear man. It kinda came across a little arrogant and smug. Blessings!
