I did some reading in the manual, and it seems that while it does have a subwoofer output, it does not have an option to cut off the low frequencies from the tops. If that is the case, it makes the subwoofer output kind of pointless. Other than that, it does look interesting for the DJ on a budget, if it turns out to be a LOT more reliable than the DJX-700, which was crap.

Hi Little help please, recently just bought the Behringer ddm4000 mixer which is a brilliant bit of kit for the price. However there is no booth output. I do a lot of live DJ facebook videos but I can't get the irig2 or rode SC4 to work for best (no background noise) sound. I have set up a rca cable straight from the master out B which is supposedly the booth output but I hear everything when recording. I also have plugged in the irig2 to the same output but the noise is really REALLY low. I have also tried the XLR cables out of the ouput A (left, Right) next to subwoofer directly to the irig2 which did have quality sound with no background noise however 2 mins into a mix it started deteriating into fuzzy melody and unbearable distorted beats! Any help on a set up would be muchly appreciated please as I'm clean out of ideas!! P.S apologies for the long message!!

Ive been loving my DDM4000. A question (seems behringer has no answer) concerning my crossfader I do not scratch but during mixing i lke making some quick cuts to grab a kick or sample....but lately my crossfader ,no matter what the curve is set to does not "cut quick"and the volume seems lower towards A and B side. middle is a normal level. Any advice (if ive explained it well enough)

when you say the subwoofer goes through a basic amplifier do you mean a power amp like the main speakers, and could you recomend one

Can someone help me to explain something, this mixer has a built in internal crossover for the Subwoofer XLR input at the back of this mixer, so will it play a sub to it's lowest frequency according to the subs specifications?

PS. One last question how is the Crossfader on this thing? Smooth, responsive?

totaly agree, even Behringer (might ) admit it may not be as good as the DJM series but at least this digital mixer is well in the budget of far more people and gets you on the road to becoming a DJ. If was not in this position i would have bought this as you have everything you need . j j

where it says "left right and subwoofer" on out A , could you connect two powered monitors and a powered subwoofer to them ? and how do i connect it , its a lil late to ask this question but i need to know please and thank you !

similar for if i outputted the midi from the ddm4000 to a drum machine. I am slightly confused by what you said. to my knowledge, the same would happen with any fx using midi. please tell me where i am going wrong. as it would be really helpful to know. cheers

I think this mixer is very nice for the price. I haven't used it, but hopefully it's a much better product than the previous mixers that they've made.

Does anybody know if there is a tutorial on setting up the subwoofer. I have a Behringer powered subwoofer which I have plugged into the ddm4000. But the sound isn’t good.

I agree but i guess they have to account for people who intend to mount it in a rack, where a headphone socket on the front for example would be unreachable.

How is your ddm doing today? I'm planning on getting one, hoping it'll last a year or two at least...

to be honest it will stick out where ever it is! MAKE NOTE!!! PEOPLE WHO MAKE DJ MIXERS!!, place the headphone socket inside the mixer( in other words , so it is not poking out above the outer part of the mixer)!!!! j

Also thought.... I had a FAL RANGER twin deck back in the day it was cheap it was nasty it also lasted me for 15 years in a pub !!!!!! i sold it as it was still work...remember some DJs are only working on and off so there has to be a BUDGET no good spending 10k on gear if your never going to recoup it,,, i tend to go for mid range products I cant justify some of the kit...but it sounds great.... perhaps its an age thing!!!

you got in one there mate...ive had this mixer for 6 months and i havent had one single problem, not even a single crack of the faders.... the best bit of kit ive bought in my opinion *i honestly havent heard one single bad review either!

Before we comment lets see the future videos etc the price difference between this and the pioneer products is a lot and these are new designs with new tech so i will look closely...as this does everything i would want and i can get them cheap ha!! so feedback no disco snobs please

and also, i am confused. you say you can plug a drum machine into the midi ports. eh? maybe i am missing something fundamental here, but I'm quite sure midi doesn't 'contain' any sound, just information. so if you plug a drum machine (say korg electribe as that is what i own) into the 'midi in' then when i use the electribe i will just be controlling parameters on the ddm400 but no actual sounds would be sent in (unless i plugged it into the channel inputs.). .......CONTINUED ABOVE

in my opinion, yes. it beats it hands down on price and features. People slag Behringer cuz of their previous low quality mixers, but i think they have put a bit of effort into this guy. and its been positive feedback so far. Pioneer-if u wanna pay for the name, go for it, but i wouldnt just fob this mixer off just cuz of its name. i think u'll have more fun using this. only time will tell.

@00dom00 You are right, midi doesn't produce any sound, but hey, It's obvious that J reffers to a drum machine style MIDI CONTROLLER , not a real standalone that produces beats. This mixer lacks of audio interface, getting one must make it one of the best dj mixers (solutions) out there.

its not a bad mixer, had a play on my mates but as with all behringer mixers, they overheat after a few hours of mixing... ill stick to my pioneer

in my eyes everything is relevent. So what if it only lasts a few yrs, you pay for what you get. If anything look at it like this , for a few 100 uk £ you get to mess about with a digital mixer. So best use this and while you do save up for a more expensive unit, this is what i would do. thanks j

Behringer had so many run in's with the law it's unreal, roland sued them and if I can remember correctly even Mackie for ripping off their circuits so much they even managed to copy their design flaws. I won't ever buy Behringer, it's like selling your soul to the devil. Any way digital audio still sucks xxx

Worst mixer ever made. I've played live with this behemoth and I don't like it at all. Who is the genius that put the headphones jack on the right Middle side of the mixer? They didn't think that your headphones cord wouldn't get in the way of the cross fader?

Mackie put useless elements into their circuit design deliberately, and Behringer copied them exactly. Behringer stuff might not even last you one year. You really have to be desperate to buy that shit, because it breaks. Quickly.
