Trying to figure out why the bandsaw won't cut the timber is troublesome. But, I get on with milling some of the stock on the thicknesser.

Well done for persevering. I would be tempted to lift the feather board higher so its holding the wood nearer the middle of the side fence. No need to worry about the bottom edge squareness then! Also use the table saw to square the rough edge to prevent the top rollers on the thicknesser from rolling the to edge over. ❤😊

Thanks, Tim. Not sure how I would raise the feather board any higher but it's one to remember.

Hi,it looks like the guide slipped as you pushed the timber through and could have got wedged. Have a look at your video when you turn the timber round and cut from the other end Regards Bill

Thanks, Bill. Simple, really. I hadn't realised just how variable the stock was in its width and thickness.

The 6:55 to 7:15 moment shows the top guard dropping. I agree that it looks like it is wedging vertically! Well spotted Bill 🧐👍🏻
