As a Vietnamese person, I feel like it's engrained in the culture haha. I swear, every Viet auntie or uncle (incl. my parents) I've met is obsessed with plants, especially the fruiting ones or hoa mai!

That’s right. As a agricultural civilization Vietnamese lives harmonically with nature. I am living in Europe then I realize that here people eat much more meat than in Vietnam.

What a beautiful video! Made me tear up at the end, seeing your dad hugging his mom takes me back to saying goodbye to my gradma at the airport. It's very difficult to have family in different places of the world but it also makes us appreciate each other more. You dad also reminds me of my dad, he's very sweet. Im so glad for you that you got to take that trip together with your dad and thank you for sharing it with us!

Thanks for showing a slice of local life in Vietnam, almost similar with the country life in Philippines. We both have closed family ties. I love watching your videos there's always this feeling of calmness I get whenever...your being soft-spoken, the way you make your stories, the plants etc is very relaxing.

The thing i miss about having grandparents, just visiting their simple yet lively homes with all the animals. My grandpa raised goats and they would come home by themselves every evening after eating up the bush and grass around. Seeing them as we got near the house from the main road always put a smile on my face. I really miss that...

Grandpa assembling the cloth rack is so adorable. 🥺. I also like how connected the family is. Usually, people tend to spend their time on their phones and other electronic gadgets, even when they visit family members whom they haven't seen in a while, instead of spending quality time enjoying each other's company. This family is the complete opposite of that. It melts my heart to see such values being upheld even with the young generation 👏👏👏👏
