The anti hairwrap head on the dyson is the game changer, the amount of times ive had to cut hair off a regular head is annoying every week but the dysonntech actually works probably needs detangling every few months or so it really works so for the slightly better pick up of the ryobi the dyson does it for me

The biggest problem for all the vaccums not picking up so well on hard floor is the shear amount of debris trying to be picked up. Only a shop vac or commercial vac would handle such a mess.

True, but tests tend to be above and beyond the ordinary to prove/show just what's capable. If they picked up the large debris, at least you know they'll grab things on the floor if there happens to be the odd item of that size lying around (rather than a million in one place) instead of just kicking it into the wall, window or dog! My biggest disappointment was that the ryobi seemed to just grind the white powder into the floor - no a very promising sign for what's going on when vacuuming carpet.

I would like to know that as well because for as much as I like this vacuum cleaner it drains the battery fast and that's with me using a 5A/H pack, not a 4A/H model like in the video. Without using the powered head it will from full charged to the low voltage cut-off take around 15 minutes. Much less again if using the powered head.

I just purchased a Ryobi dual unit. LOVE it! The battery is certainly short lived (maybe 10 minutes). But it works for our small home with hardwood floors. Great suction and price is certainly good. I guess turning off the dual unit and using only the suction would help with the battery life. Still learning, but very impressed with the vacuum.

Another test you might want to consider is vacuuming pet hair. The pet hair from a chocolate lab clogs up the intake. This is even vacuuming after prior sweeping. It is definitely not fun to have to disassemble the vacuum cleaner to remove clogged pet hair. I never anticipated the dog would shed as much as it does. Perhaps I should have invested more money than buying a Wyze machine. Keep up the excellent reviews.

I have the single roller Ryobi and with limited use around cats, hair wound up on the end of the roller... got hot and melted where the end of the roller connects and spins. I had a very hard time taking it apart and doing my best to fix it... smoothing out the melted plastic so it would spin again. Wasn't long after and it did it again. No metal bearing, its plastic. Altogether, it lasted less than two months of occasional use. The head unit still works and I use it at work for small cleaning tasks.

Should note that lower AH packs are usually just a single series where larger packs use 2 series in parallel. This means that even with the same cells larger packs can discharge twice as much current. So you're not just trading off runtime you're also losing current which means less suction.

Lower Ah packs are made of 5 series connected 18650 batteries. The higher Ah packs are made of two rows (or 3 for the 9Ah) of 5 series connected 18650 batteries with the rows of 5 being connected in parallel. The peak current is the same the only difference is run time.

I bet the Ryobi has more dust leaks than the Dyson but the dual roller head is a cool idea.

For a guy that’s not sponsored by Ryobi you have a lot of brand new tools in your shed 😂

kobalt needs a version. hw brands try to lock you into their proprietary battery ecosystem. good review. although personally very rarely do large cereal chunks ever spill on the floor. that’s when i grab the broom. these vacuums are for finer material, which any seem to work well.

a broom works the best for that larger trash on any hardwood floor or tile floors, then the vacuuming starts.

Our Ryobi lasted 3 weeks before the gearing in the head melted down and seized. Also the high pitch noise the motor makes is terrible. I have a ton of Ryobi tools, they are all great but this thing is a loser. The suction is laughably low compared to our Dyson cordless.

@@optivitanutrition I hope he's talking about the old one. I had the old one. Only thing great about it was the fact I can swap batteries as I have a number of them already. I'm about to head Home Depot to get this new model. Hope it works out ...

When you tried the dyson on the cereal on the Harwood floor a I am pretty sure you had a some sort of clog becaus emu dyson picks it up perfectly everytime and I do not let the canister get full
