😂😂😂 But Chris and Mariska probably also have a hand in dragging this out as well…I just wish they’d have given us the scenes from the promos so I just keep looking for videos with those scenes in them. I get that she feels like she would lose a lot but you have to give things a shot to even see if it would work…she’s always been able to remain friends with her exes and even still loved them (RIP TUCKER). And if I am being totally honest here, I was hoping she and Tucker would have made it…with that also being said, it makes me wonder if she had all of these break ups bc they were working really hard to get Elliott back into the SVUniverse…at any rate, I am ready for some action between these two and I believe that things WILL work out…

I totally agree! You’re so right! I couldn’t agree more because Olivia B deserves the best and maybe Elliot S could be the best for her? You totally get what I’m saying right? Like I don’t want to come across too strong but I actually believe that Liv and Stabe are meant for each other! In a big way!! Definitely love vibes. Which is great because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Olivia B! I think she’s just so great. I don’t love her romantically I don’t even like women’s like that! She’s just SUCH a FREAKING good PERSON and such a darn great COP/DETECTIVE/CAPTAIN/LIEUTENANT. I’ve literally waited 20 years for this moment. As a kid I remember watching SVU and loving their chemistry. Never thought the writers would lead us down this path but I am so happy they are. I know alot of people are upset with how long it’s taking; but honestly we’ve waited longer and I applaud the writers for taking such a realistic approach to it.

She loves him and wants to be with him but she still has a hard time forgiving him for leaving her for 10 whole years. You can’t exactly blame her for it. I’m just happy she’s realizing how much she loves him but she needs time. She will go to him when she’s ready. He needs to be patient with her, he owes her that much at least.

To me, these characters were closer than soulmates because their relationship wasn’t about romantic intimacy, it was about the intimacy from their job. The bond of walking through the same nightmares day in day out and doing it together. I never saw the romantic side, I wanted it cause I love romance, but I never saw it in the writing or in the acting whatsoever. Kind of fake to make us believe it was there all along. i don't think stabler realizes how much trauma benson has endured after he abandoned her and i don't think benson has fully dealt with that abandonment and her traumas. they need to talk everything out, heal as individuals and get through it together.

Olivia is doing an awesome job of not giving into herself when it comes to Stabler. All you have to do is look at her and see the love in her eyes for Stabler. The same goes for Stabler's feelings for Liv. With the death of Kathy, it won't be long.

But I truly believe, Liv was No. 1 even when Kathy was still alive. Now that she’s gone, he now can pursue Liv, which is what he did here. Now the ball is in Liv’s court as to how far she will allow herself to go with Stabler

I would have been perfectly happy with a hug. The kiss did seem like Elliot's attempt to be close to her and he didn't know how to show it. He said he loves her, but I'm not even sure she believes that in her heart. Or she's not ready to believe it.

This is a great first step but Olivia and Elliot still need to have that grown-up, not holds bar, cards on the table, ugly cry, brown liquor with plenty of ice conversation. I feel her. When you have that person who has and is your true Best Friend, the person you could open up too. Someone that knows EVERYTHING about you, the good and bad because the comfort and ease is always there. To give into the that brewing chemistry and physical attraction is one of pause. Incredible scene, so intense, so passionate by two outstanding actors, Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay, Benson trying to avoid looking in the eyes stabler because she is scared to sacrifice their relationship for going deeper with him. Olivia please remember the words of Dr. LIndstrom "this idealizing relationship with Elliott is hurting you, it´s time to see if you can be happy with Elliott, because you deserve to love and be loved " One thing please they don´t end like moonlight

I know eventually when Olivia is ready she’ll give him a chance she wants to be with him but she still has her guard up she’s going through a lot and she is very independent but once she can find her true happy self and live her life while still being that way while having Stabler I’m sure she’ll do so but the chemistry this Actor and Actress have is wonderful I would love to see it happen when she’s more ready

This is a small leap forward for the both of them. They openly admitted they want more than friendship. I think Liv is afraid Elliot won’t want her when he learns about William Lewis. She is too damaged. Elliot needs to tell Liv he isn’t going anywhere ever again.

I get why she’s hesitant. As much as she wants him like she said, he left her without even a phone call and save for their short conversation about it have not actually dealt with that. .Liv has been looking out for him for years now it’s Elliot’s turn to chase her. I hope he does find out about Lewis so he can know he wasn’t there when she needed him most.

Please post the full scene that includes the deleted moments (cut in such a choppy fashion) that were a highly anticipated part of the promo. Especially the emotional hug after all that Olivia had been through in this story and Elliot was there for her. After cutting the scenes when Elliot met Noah outside of the original airing, I didn't think the decision would be made to remove heavily promoted scenes directly from official promos but I was wrong. You have opportunities to fix this mistake that affected so many loyal viewers.

I'm rewatching this a year later. 🥰 More than anything, I want them to sit down and talk. I want him to LISTEN to her and absorb everything she's gone through in those 10 years. I just started watching SVU a couple of years ago, so I know some of y'all are really sick and tired of waiting because you've been watching for literally decades. I absolutely love how this relationship has evolved. It's the best romance in TV history, IDGAF what anyone says... And they haven't even kissed. Barely held hands. I'm not a huge romantic, but this is sooooo romantic but not at the same time that I can't help watching it over and over. It pops into my head at random moments and IDK why LOL. 🔥🔥🔥

I KNOW because of woman’s intuition, that Olivia Benson has been PASSIONATELY IN LOVE with Eliot since she first met him, but because she respected his marriage, she never said anything, and now that Kathy has passed away, she’s afraid she’s gonna get hurt, after he left her in the lurch for over TEN YEARS!!!!!

I will be very surprised if Chris turns up in SVU at all now (he didn't appear in S25 except an AI-sounding meaningless phone call) Maybe the last scene of SVU where they hold hands and walk away or something. Organised Crime is no longer on NBC (moved to Peacock) so crossovers are exactly practical either.

I really do believe it would work. Even Kathy knew that they had a connection and not just because they were GREAT partners on the team but she knew but I agree with everyone that they do need to have that talk about what they both really went through once he left the team

Before SVU, I thought Bones was a sadistic series, because it took 7 seasons for Brennan and Booth to end up together, while also teasing us many times before getting there. Now, SVU is a whole new level. Who the hell writes the scenario? GIVE THEM THEIR DESERVED HAPPY ENDING.

Yes, PLEASE don't let us end up with a rushed couple-status like they gave us in Bones (yes, I know Emily D was pregnant, but they could have done so much better). I'm still not over that. I’m not mad they didn’t kiss, I’m glad Liv didn’t just give in to her desires because it’s all or nothing at this point and she needs to feel secure. I’m more so mad they showed us something and then did something else, as usual. They really need to close in these loose gaps. Like did Elliot meet Noah fr or is Liv just letting a stranger pick him up or did they meet when Noah magically turned 12 or now 11 yrs old. It’s just tew much🥴 first she was saying she wish she could trust him, now she doesn’t trust anyone more than him? Clean it up

Well as we figured out, Kathy was jealous of Liv because deep down she knew and admitted that he always loved Liv but did the honorable thing and and stayed with his family. Liv or not he never totally loved Kathy. Notice how Kathy didn’t encourage him to stay. Elliot hd his reasons for leaving but he didn’t consider Liv’s feelings and ended up not being with her when she needed him most (Lewis) So yea there’s still a lot for them to work through.

He wasn’t expecting her to do anything. Yes, he broke her heart. I’m not defending or excusing that because it’s the truth. And I do believe it’s why Liv is hesitant to give into him. But this all didn’t happen immediately. Elliot grieved for a while for his wife. But he has grown as a person & he has discovered his love for Liv & wants to be there for her. But now it’s all up to her & what she wants

My heart was beating so fast at this scene. OMG =]]]. I loved this. One of my favorites and the way she pulls away to disconnect from him and ignores what he asked and says to her. He knew that she is mad at him still and Elliot wanting Liv to turn around and she didn't. Just made this scene, so good. So he moved in closer to get her to face him. It was perfect. He was ready. But that " almost kiss " it was right there. I wish they did, but i will take this. Thank you NBC.

I thought she was too exhausted to acknowledge him, but deliberately turning away is an interesting perspective. She has to be on her guard because of BX9, but can she 'really' be on her guard around him? They've known each other so well for so long. So her turning away might have been exactly the message she wanted to send. I still wish she had been able to relax more and let him hold her, even if it didn't go further than that. Especially after all she just went through.

Him asking why she didnt call. She said i knew you would try to protect. He's like is something wrong with that. He knows darn well why she wouldnt answer and wanted either a confession. Or to do something, right there. When she still stayed quiet. He went for a admission of i care for you. Elliot wanted her to say something or look at him or maybe start to walk away and he'd grab her arm. But he knows that Liv still cares after all these years and is in love with him. He knew the second he came back. He's the one that needed to fix things with her and she was waiting. But that scene in the kitchen. Threw her off and they so wanted to kiss. But she felt it was not the right time and wanted him to finally admit what she always thought Elliot felt for her. This was that next step. Would have been awesome if they did. But it's worth the wait for them.

Folks are upset about the bate and switch of the promo and this scene. But in the promo, they don't kiss either. It actually looked like Liv went in for the kiss and Elliott rejects her. Regardless of the scene change the kiss was not going to happen now. Honestly, we need a cross-over episode where these two work on a case and are locked up or trapped somewhere where they are forced to be in the same space so they can talk uninterrupted and are not saved until the conversation is over.

Nah, he leaned in to kiss her but was careful because he wanted to be sure that she was ready and to see what she did and if she really wanted to. That's why he hesitated and only moved a little towards her. It has turned out several times that he loves her and she has already admitted that she loves him. We all know with absolute certainty that the two love each other. But yeah, its a really good idea to let them talk. They would have finally more/ a lot of time to talk about all they have and want to. It would also bring them closer together. After that they finally could be together ...
