Bentonite Green Sand recipe. Sticky, oily and just great

This is a video about my new green sand mixture. This one consists of 87% of sand and 13% of bentonite clay. And some water of course :) I think in some way it's little better than my last green sand formula which consist brown clay. Bentonite clay is very sticky and oily. It's very different from brown clay. And this time green sand is really green! :)

And damn that's a lot of work my friend I ordered some bentonite clay powder a while ago , it cost me $28 delivered for 3kgs I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not but this stuff says only use %3 bentonite %97 sifted playsand so at least I'll have 100kgs to play with😁👍🏻. Now I just need to learn how to sand cast😬

Hi :3 I did a little experimentation and I though that you might wanna try it X3 what I did was use silica sand, Flower pot that has been crushed and a bit of soil :) The mixture seems to work and holds form quite well you should try it ^^ formula I use 85% silica sand, 6% crushed clay pots and 8% soil :) I still cant metal cuz haven't built my foundry yet but I thought that you might want to try in in case no bentonite or brown clay is present :)

5 lb or clay and 15 kg of sand american clay and European sand lol

Can you make the bentonite green sand from powder bentonite.

Вот уж действительно настоящий Green sand. Глину такую только накапывать надо как я понял, в продаже нет подобной кроме как в смесях строительных. Еще petrobond вроде какечть земля.
