Really neat. Interesting how that one dump truck had the exhaust coming out of the top of the dump bed.

That's for heating the dump body. No material should freezen there in winter time. All brands have this.

@@BeytekinConstructionMachinery Bender Kipper hat diese Zylinderanordnung lange gebaut, noch bis in die 90er Jahre hinein. P&Z hat viele dieser Kipper gefahren. Die Fahrer waren davon begeistert. Der dritte Zylinder ist der Kippstabilisator. Auch diese hat Bender sogar für ihre Rundmulden verwendet (Bender gehörte zu den ersten deutschen Firmen, die Rundmulden bauten - lange vor Meiller & Co. Meiller meinte in einem Beitag in der Lastauto Omnibus sogar, Rundmulden seien eine Modeerscheinung, und diese Bauform hätte keine Vorteile gegenüber den Eckmulden...). Lang ist's her. Und um die Sache auf die Spitze zu treiben: Sogar bei Dreiseitenkipper verbaute Bender die beiden an den Seiten rechts und links angeordneten Hydraulikzylinder!

FIAT bought the UNIC company and sold that 4x4 chassis to the Italian miltary.

@@BeytekinConstructionMachinery Wow - in the early 1990's, Canada bought the IVECO M40 branded as the LSVW built by Western Star that turned out to be junk, no power (115 hp), no speed ( lucky to hit 90 kms) and squeaky brakes right off the assembly line, now I know who to blame lol. Cheers
