Very nice tutorial for new players Here's my extra tip, when building siege, put 4 trebuchet first same as you did, after u reserve all of them, build all Fire onagers and but then in reserve, then you have the absolute distructive machine. Put 2 trebuchet on each end, the 2 Fire onagers in the middle. Trebuchets will focus on the Wall most of the time and the Fire onagers will destroy their defenses.

This was an awesome tutorial, I’ve played the game for almost 60 hours and didn’t know you could move your catapults into reserve so they wouldn’t get shot instantly.. very awesome, you saved me a lot of future pain with sieges

Good info. If you can trick the garrison into coming out to attack and you win, you can then just walk into the castle once the siege bar fills.

Excellent and informative video have been waiting for this as I was not sure how to try and capture a castle or a city. I will now try and move to this stage of the game now. One bit of constructive criticism I have watched a few of your videos and the sound level is very poor I have to turn up my headphone volume to 90 to be able to hear you other than that I am really enjoying you channel.

The casualties during siege on our side are from Ballistas as it suggests in description which doesn’t need to destroy the engine. But I think others have a chance to cause casualties on destroying engines. Because when I siege against catapults I rarely lose my men during siege unless my engines are destroyed.

Yeah to behonest i really regret not having spent much focus ob engeneering and trading/charm, they are crap early game and its fun to be a combat god against peasants etc but the mid-late game really grinds to a hold if your character is only good at fighting (i tried to play some kind of raider/combat focused at the start)

Tips on making companion big troop count: Try to max your companion Steward with the last name Wanderer, if you can also max Leadership it will add up to nearly 300 troops in a party they run (I had both Wanderer last name with 282 and 275 troop count each). Just keep letting them lead in their own party when you are the King, second-best companion to make a party with the last name Ironbelly (261). At least in my gameplay, I've max Steward and Leadership by themself. If their Steward (Leadership is a bonus) does not go up, change them to another companion that does. I've compared it with Shieldmaiden, the Healer, the Hyena, and Spicevendor (actually Spicevendor have 300+ if you are able to max them both skill). However, since their purpose to trade, I've made them as a caravan, I know it's kinda not very efficient since the cap is 30 at the moment. But they can add income for me so why not. Basically, the higher the Steward skill, the higher troop count they can provide, so you can have 3 companions with over 1000+ troops without paying them with influence to call them. Another option is to max Steward skill (also Leadership) for a companion that has a specialty in Tactics. They can stand on their own better and longer.

I’m probably still not doing it right but I just sieged a castle and got it. Had been following someone else who was going to take it, saved, restarted, went to it before he did and attacked it and we just took a city before that. (The game is probably reacting from me going to the Asari for the campaign) having a little trouble with the engineering but I see why from the video, I’ll work on it. But I only had around 230-250 troops so I just used my influence and rallied almost everybody from the clan and bumped both attacking forces to I think 1014 ? It didn’t take too much influence though because everyone had around 50-60 troops for some odd reason. We been on and off for wars and I guess they’ve been running themselves low and barely recruiting. Compared to how much influence I had tho I went from 900 to 300+ but I’ve been trying to take the empire down and unknowingly the north is gone but still kinda there. (It’s complicated) but I already learned my lesson being other another kingdom, they kept giving me land and I would get attacked with no help and loose it all and my troops if I went to defend, and I mean everyone accept family and companions were gone. So I left, went to my birthplace clan and worked under them, taking land as we went, they gave me where I was born and a castle but as soon as I got my home city, I flooded the garrison in fear. 😅😂 my biggest issue now is just money, my army is a little too big and I can’t afford it, loosing around 3k daily, gonna try more tournaments, save up, get some fiefs (only have one) and maybe ask for a castle from someone else since I’m doing more now.

Can u make a video about morale? I can’t get more that 80, also how did u get ur first fiefs? Did you become a vassal and then kept the fiefs you got? Or managed to get fiefs only by yourself?

8:50 Their losses wasn't just because of you destroying their siege engines. They had started losing troops way before you started launching stones. They have no more food at that point so that's why they're losing troops and their morale is low too which doesn't help. But yeah, you say it's because you're destroying their catapults but that's not it.

Does this still apply to 1.6.0?

Never send troops? Wot I attacked without sieging by doing send troops with an army that is a little bit bigger and had 2 casualties 500v450... Or maybe i grinded medicine too much to lessen my casualties
