Been watching your videos over and over again to see if I can pick up some tips. I think if you produced a course on how to build kitchens a lot of people would benefit as mdf is superior to chipboard and it’s definitely an achievement to build your own kitchen

So once you’ve designed a kitchen or wardrobes etc does it give you a cutting list
@ACbespokecarpentry
@ACbespokecarpentry 5 ай бұрын
@@Gaddman01 no I actually just break it down into a parts list and then put it into a website like a cut list. Optimizer, so I do just manually input the sizes onto a cut list. You can use plugins on sketchup to help with cutlists creation. But you have to group every single component in your sketchup model to be identified as a part. I find it quicker just to put measurements on it and write it all down and then input it into a cut list. Optimizer that tells me how to cut my sheets. Hope that helps!

Hi Adam loving the content, I am very intrigued to know how you finish the edges on your MDF doors etc, have you ever done a video on this topic or could you? I see sometimes you apply an edge banding then router the sharp edges for some applications. Thanks definitely worth a Sub to the channel

Sorry for the questions but what paint rollers did you use and primer
@ACbespokecarpentry
@ACbespokecarpentry 6 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! Oh fire away, so I used valspar premier, it's honestly the best water-based paint I've used, the premier is also scratch resistant. It's really good stuff. So just use a normal conventional foam roller. Nothing fancy, don't slap the paint on. You should press the paint on with the roller to avoid orange peel effect, I primed with zinza bin also! (Note you even need to prime with the Valspar Paint 🎨👀👌🏻). Plus light de nip/ 240 sand between coats👍🏻

@ACbespokecarpentry
@ACbespokecarpentry 5 ай бұрын
So I used, kitchen legs or kitchen feet And they were purchased from Screwfix, as for the runners, used hettich Quattro 4d, I don't use them anymore though. I use grasshopper now, Hope that helps buddy and thanks for your feedback and comment 👊🏻👍🏻💚

@@ACbespokecarpentry I’m using the grasshopper side mount soft closers. But looking to move onto under mount as they just look better overall. The website isn’t very clear on what the depth of the rebate should be underneath to house the clips. Albeit still a great website, looking to move to their hinges after using Blum for years.
@ACbespokecarpentry
@ACbespokecarpentry 5 ай бұрын
@@Jdcarpentrycov Yeah so the rebate underneath needs to be about 12 mm 👍🏻 so your draw sides will be 12 mm + the thickness of your base. Then that's the height of your front and backs 👍🏻 Yes, I've tried using different types of hinges and I've actually gone back to Blum 👀 they pivot so much better and less likely to bind in my experience
