I seem to be wearing my Khaki Automatic all the time. It's such a great watch it's hard not to praise it. I stopped with the straps and have only been wearing the metal bracelet for the past months.

Dude, excellent video! Great style of presentation. I have a modest collection (Tissot Visodate, Hamilton Intramatic Blue & a Nomos Club 738) and I’ve been wanting an everyday, no worry watch. This really fits the bill. Gonna pull the trigger. Thanks for the very natural review. Subbed 👍🏼😎

LOL bought it, sold it, and went for a Tissot Gentleman Powermatic in Blue. This Hamilton was not all I thought it would be. Especially since it advertised a 28k beat and it was only 21k. That said, I LOVE the Tissot. Perfect everyday on a leather strap.

Not to contradict you, but this watch has an 80 hour power reserve. I have a Khaki Field Mechanical white dial on a Crown and Buckle Chevron and it's my daily wear. I just ordered this one to alternate with as a slightly dressed up variant.

Considering this one as well. I started my love for Hamilton watches with the Interstellar Pilot Day-Date watch. Love the look and the bracelet and it feels so comfortable. Second one was my Khaki field mechanical with the white Dial which is so simplet yet so elegant at the same time and looks great on Nato or leather. Maybe this Field auto is the third I am going for... Great review and I feel your love for that piece! Enjoy it!!!

@@icolater27 Ha, if I could reasonably afford one, I might agree with you. Excellent choice with the 013! I've owned an 007, and curently own an 009, and still contemplate picking up an 013 or another 007 before they become completely impossible to find.

Khaki King, and just this week I acquired this watch on a bracelet. The king loses about 4 seconds a day and is a little large for my 6.25” wrist. The hand winder fits fine and only loses about 2.5 sec/day, but doesn’t work well with shirt and tie. After 4 days this khaki auto has lost about 3 seconds total. It looks great with a suit, too!

Great watch, love the design and dial but I exchanged my 38 for the 42 version as it felt too small on my pretty average 7inch wrist in my opinion.

7" wrist too, and debating the 38mm vs the 42mm. Most of my divers are around 40-42mm but this one looks great on you. Starting to learn towards the 38mm here myself too, although I do find the SNK809 a touch on the small side for me.
@ChronometerCheck
@ChronometerCheck Жыл бұрын
I made a mistake - at the time I thought my wrist was 7" but it's actually closer to 6.5", so keep that in mind. You may find 42mm more preferable if you want a similar fit. And the SNK809 wears quite small in general.
@Conundrum191
@Conundrum191 Жыл бұрын
@@ChronometerCheck thanks for mentioning it, I have found a number of other videos of guys with 7" wrists also to compare, and hopefully trying on both the 38mm and the 42mm in the next week or two. Leaning to the 38 still given the lug to lug and the more symmetrical dial but we'll see.
@ChronometerCheck
@ChronometerCheck Жыл бұрын
@@Conundrum191 I think you're n the right track, to me the proportions look a little more natural on the 38, and it doesn't wear or look like a small watch by any means.

@ChronometerCheck
@ChronometerCheck Жыл бұрын
Oh, there are plenty! I LOVE this watch on brown or black horween leather. It also looks fantastic on just about any NATO strap you can think of. And finally, some of my favorite straps are canvas on this bad boy. It's quite versatile.

Legend. I'm still on the fence between Serica 4512 and this.
@ChronometerCheck
@ChronometerCheck 2 жыл бұрын
Both very cool watches. A distinction I'd ask you to question is if you're looking for a watch that can do anything (dress it up, dress it down, etc. in which case, Hamilton) or a more purposeful looking field watch (Serrica with that awesome brushed bezel looks great, though maybe not so much with business attire, if that's what you wear, for example).
@vitero5745
@vitero5745 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChronometerCheck yes! At the end i chose the 4512 for a few reasons. Somewhere in a forum asking about Hamilton's infamous water resistance, i read a comment that stuck with me: "this watch is basically a dress watch with a field watch aesthetic" and i feel it's super true. I called all official vendors of this watch and no one was offering the guarantee for water use (to swim which i do regularly). "Get a dive watch" they said, lol. So i guessed if i really wanted a life companion, I'd go for the 4512 and I'm really happy i did. I also helped a small company and one person's vision of watch design which i admire a lot. So i know i may be sacrificing history and heritage and some other marketing mouthful things, but to me this was a much more meaningful purchase. Hopefully i can get hands on this one day to still compare them hahahaha no harm in having both!

Yeah, the new Seiko 5 models are very handsome. Though I think the Hamilton Field has the advantage of being able to look a bit sporty OR dressy, whereas the Seiko 5 Field isn't quite as versatile. Both fantastic watches and I'm glad I own them both.
