What's up guys! In this video I compare the two most popular weight benches on Amazon, the FlyBird adjustable weight bench vs the Fitness Reality 2000 Super Max Xl High Capacity no gap adjustable weight bench. Both the FlyBird and Fitness Reality Benches can be purchased on Amazon and have over 4.5 stars with thousands of reviews. Both workout benches are foldable, but with the FlyBird being able to fold much smaller. The Fitness Reality 2000 is the newer or second version of the Fitness Reality 1000 super max bench which is reated 4.6 stars with almost 6000 reviews on Amazon. I recommend the FlyBird Adjustable weight bench for people who don't lift a ton of weight, are under 6'1 and want a bench that can fold away and be put out of sight. The FlyBird workout bench set has a weight capacity of 620lbs while the Fitness Reality Super Max Xl is rated at 850lbs. I recommend the Fitness Reality workout bench for people that are taller or want a very solid bench to lift alot of weight on for cheap. The Fitness Reality adjustable weight bench has the no gap seat option which is similar to the famous Rep Fitness Ab5000 Zero Gap bench which is one of my personal favorite benches. Both home gym workout benches have a leg attachment that make doing decline workouts perfect. If you are looking to do some decline ab work I recommend the Fitness Reality bench because it has a much better leg attachment for comfort and support. In the end the Fitness Reality 2000 Super Max Xl adjustable weight bench is my favorite workout bench for a home gym that's under $200.

Just got mine delivered today. REALLY happy with it so far. Seems solid. Was nervous the back would be too skinny, but no, it feels good. Only thing is it is missing 1 end cap for the leg attachment. Going to see if Amazon will send me the part. Purely cosmetic though.

I've had the Fitness Reality for over 14 months now. Working out 5 times a week with heavy weight sets in all positions this bench proves to be sturdy. The quality in most areas of the bench is very good for the price and weight of the bench. Where it fell short was the stitching, padding, and cover. The stitching has since become loose (did not become undone......yet), the padding is still good but is becoming more squishy and worn, the cover (material covering the pad) tore where the two pads meet (the zero gap point) bc this is where the most flex from the pad occurs and the cover is just not that strong. I'm currently looking for a higher quality bench, however, if FR sells replacement pads I may just purchase that, depending on the price. Why? Because the frame is is great and sturdy, I want an FID ladder adjustable bench, I like that it's lightweight, I like the bottom feet come out like they do so I can use my loop bands on them, and the price of similar benches will be about $600-$800.

No problem and I agree. This bench is about as good as it gets for that price range and when higher end benches become more available and prices aren't so high you can upgrade.

Yeah those benches are ok, but you’re much better off going with the Fitness reality 2000. And I’m assuming you meant rep ab3000 or ab5000 is out of stock

The Flybird Bench seems like a good decent bench compared to one of those cheaper Marcy/Weider benches. The one main complaint seems to to be the height of the bench. I saw a Reebok flat bench that was also 21 inches tall and that seems a bit too tall for doing bench presses. It also makes the think really wobbly which isn't good.

Hey Matt awesome video! Just noticed that you installed the wheels on the wrong side according to the manual. I just received my bench and was wondering if you noticed any issues having the wheels/base installed the way you have it. Seems like moving the bench would be much easier with your method than the one recommended in the manual. I'm considering reattaching it the same way you have to have a "handle" (support plate) to pull the bench. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, yeah you're right lol! It doesn't really matter which side you put it on though. It works great for me this way, but if you like to pick it up super high before rolling it, it may be better the way the manual shows because the leg attachment may rub the ground if not. If you don't use the leg attachment on it the way I showed would be easier to move it with.

The Rouge AB-3 would be the most comparable, but expensive and not on amazon. On Amazon the bench I demonstrated in this video, Fitness Reality 2000 is comparable for very cheap and in stock.

if you were going to to leg extensions with bands. with the fitness reality had that extra ankle holder on the bottom. can you flip that upside-down so you can get full range with your knee placement? just curious. great review

The back rest kinda has me concerned a bit only at 9" but i have heard you can spin the back rest to get it around 10" or so.. do you know if this is true or not? Anyways i subscribed.

Yeah the back rest width is basically the only slight negative, but all the positives for the price out weigh that. During flat bench you can just sit upside down to get the wider back rest but obviously you can’t do that for incline or decline. I’ve heard others are already getting the wider back rest when they order so hopefully you do also

Yeah for most people the Fitness Reality 2000 is the better bench. The FlyBird is nice for people who want to hide it away under their bed or in closet and only do dumbbell work.

hey do you have this issue with yours? even with the seat all the way to the front, if i raise the back to 85 degrees, it's still pressing against the back of the seat cushion and making an indent. kind of worried about the longevity of that area . wish it left more of a gap there when the back is all the way up. thought leaving it in the gap position would make no contact.

Sorry I’m super late, I’d think the Fitness real 2000 should be fine. Might feel a little high but not bad. 18” is about average for a weight bench at a gym

I’m 5’9”. I would have originally thought the fly bird would be a better option because the seat length is not as long as the fitness reality, however the 21inch height from the floor really throws me off. In your opinion, do you think at my height the fitness reality would still be a good option for flat/incline/decline benching although it is a little longer in length? Looks like a beast of a bench!

Great review, at 5'9" and 250 I already had one flimsy bench. One thing to note - according to the instructions - you've got the wheels on the front leg and they're saying you should have them on the back.

It can fit in a closet, but not as compact as FlyBird. It won’t fall on its own but could be knocked fairly easy.

Both are easily the top benches in their price point. I'd use the fitness reality as much as possible and when the rep ab5000 comes in stock and your ready for the upgrade jump on it.

Check out my fitness reality 1000 video if the 2000 doesn't work for you. Little cheaper and lower to ground and has 800lb weight capacity.

I just started working out a few months ago and I'm loving it, too bad Mexico city went into full lockdown again (although I understand it). I will be working out at home; the thing is that I cant find a decent bench, all the benches amazon sells in Mexico are crap, and the only fitness reality 2000 I can find is over $1000 USD. Do you have any recomendation? Do I really need a bench? Btw, great vid, very informative.

I'm genuinely curious if you were paid for/given the flybird. Because I had one, and it was awful, wobbly, unstable, etc etc. I *certainly* wouldnt rate it close to being any good. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a broken one?

The leg lock still wobbles even after I screw in the nob. It feels stable using a hand shaking it. But as soon as you start using your leg, you can feel that it wobbles. Is there any way to make it absolutely not wobble? It feels very uncomfortable having your leg wobbles a bit when you are doing crunches.

If you have it tight it shouldn't wobble very much. If it's still bothering you maybe invest in the Rep Fitness AB5000 which will be even more solid.

can you compare this to the 1000 version? The back rest width is small at 9 and 10 inches. when most other benches are 12 inches. it is reversible but many of the reviews do point this out. can you talk more on this? and also address some of the 1-3 reviews found on amazon?

Yeah the back rest is a little more narrow then average, but I personally don't like super wide back rest so feels great to me and think most won't have any issue with that. I will order the 1000 soon and do a comparison 🙂

Thanks for pointing out the differences brother! Good thing I happened upon your vid. Great review. I had ordered the Flybird on Amazon and cancelled the order (luckily it hadn't shipped yet so I was within the cancellation time frame). I ended up ordering the Fitness Reality 2000. A bit more expensive but well worth it. 👍

Having all that extra room is better then having a bench that’s 21 inches off the ground and your feet barely touch lol. Plus it’s just a nicer more solid bench all around. Only real benefit of FlyBird over fr2000 would be how foldable it is for people with limited space

Unless you want a bench that folds really small for storage I'd get the Fitness Reality 2000 or 1000.

Flybird is probably fine for most people but the fitness reality does look better quality material for $30 more.

If you need a bench that really folds up small and is light weight the Flybird is nice. It's a little high for a lot of people and not very comfortable doing decline work though. The Fitness Reality 2000 is very solid and much better for decline and ab work, also not 21'' high like the Flybird.

Found your chanel today - great reviews. I got the Bowflex 552's as a Christmas gift (I know, not your favorite) but was wondering what you think the best bench for an apartment would be - this Fitness Reality, or is there a better one on Amazon for under $300? Also, what should I put underneath it (on my bedroom carpet)? I am 5'10" and 185lbs if it matters. Thanks in advance!

Hey bro, the Fitness Reality should work great in your apartment. Best bench for the price on amazon. A Stall mat should work well even on semi thick carpet because it's so heavy it should flatten most of it out.

found this brand named Kelton amazing products polish brand there benches are super cheap for the quality they have since polish economy in Europe is pretty low got a bench for 210 euros better then rougue only down side was the padding was not as tick
