I put the Mora Black to the test by butchering a Rock Squirrel(Otospermophilus variegatus), making a one-stick fire, and starting fire using a flint rock.

This may be the most authentic "Bushcraft" video on KZfaq! What more could you ask for... catch food, prepare food, prepare firewood, prepare fire materials, make fire, cook food. Done! This is real world use of the Mora. Excellent video, good presentation, and I really enjoyed the music, too. Just perfect. You just earned a new subscriber. :)

I have butchered plenty of animals in my life. Gone hunting and skinned plenty of animals, thats just part of my lifestyle. And even then i understand that some people might find this graphic and that is completely fine. Its not for everyone. Calling them a pussy for that reason only makes YOU look like an idiot that is trying too hard to look tough. A real man understand that this kind of things are not for everyone and that is completely fine.

Great video! This is honestly the first review I've seen on any Mora that actually showed true survival basics from beginning to end. Meaning basics needed for real world survival and I've watched quite a few. I've been thinking about getting a Mora and now since watching this review, it will most likely be the Mora Black. Thanks for the review and I've proudly subscribed.

+AandB1998 thank ye very much, im glad ye enjoyed it. i cant stand youtube reviews where guys have never used a tool or just test it the same way every other channel test it, if a knife has a million uses, why only do feather sticks? be sure to check out my other knife reviews, i do some unique survival testing for each of them.

love your videos, but you haven't butchered much huh? well you learn by doing. if you start by splitting the belly skin and take it off like a coat you can save the skin and tan it. rabbit skins make good mittens for the cold. you can use any plant with enough tannic acid to tan with. try it ! learn to use the whole buffalo. lol!

Stumbled onto your vid - it is greatness! You are so right to say that nearly all bushcraft knife reviews comment but never demo game processing. For me, as a hunter and a bushcrafter, game processing is as important as any other task. One more thing, for people unfamiliar with Mesquite wood. It is not soft pine. It is hard and gnarly wood. Its everywhere here in the southwest. A great test medium for a blade and the ability to process wood and stay sharp. Good job!

Best knife review. As always. I own the Garberg carbon but i was always looking at its older brother so I bought it for €50 euros. Thanks to your video i can truly see it was worth the money. 😉👍🏼🇳🇱

Beautiful video brother really like how you did that. Nice to see some brown folks representing the West Coast on that desert survival vibe. Definitely subbing and good luck in the future.

Amigo, Well I just subbed to you. Finally it seems that there is a YT channel (yours) that has some focus on desert survival. I live in southern Arizona and frankly while I really enjoy all my other YT channels that I subscribe to, they are all forest, mostly eastern woodlands or up in Canada oriented. Plenty of wood and water everywhere. Mention the word Mesquite and they have never heard of this wonderful wood at all!! Sigh Great for high heat, low flame fires and it cannot be beat as a cooking wood! Even the scent of the burning wood is wonderful. The one Mora that I own is the Light My Fire version and I simply love that knife. So maybe now it's time to think about adding the Mora Black. Now I will start to explore your videos. Nice job on that Squirrel!
