I just discovered this workout video and it really is very good. I have diabetes, bad knees as well as a bad back so really want to improve my quality of life. Hoping to keep it up.

Thank you for this workout. I am in a wheelchair due to MS, and I am also T2 Diabetic. This workout is just right: challenging without being overtaxing.

Ty for this wonderful video..I have Type 2 diabetes and neuropathy in both legs..These chair exercises are perfect and you don't have your viewers over doing it..I feel so invigorated afterwards (my podiatrist recommended chair exercises since I can't put a lot of pressure on my feet)

Just a quick update. I've been doing this for nearly a month now, and I've been doing it on a daily basis. Last Friday I went to a meeting in a room with plush carpets. These are universally reviled by wheelchair users as they create a real drag on the wheels. I was able, for the first time, to push myself around on those carpets throughout the entire day and sometimes for long distances without any assistance at all. I've really increased my strength. Thanks!

This was great, thanks, I have been researching "what foods spike blood sugar?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Bancarlett Diyily Scheme - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.

I have a knee injury and lower back pain this is the perfect workout for me. ..so glad I found yours to be very helpful. I feel great when I finish the workout not stressed out. In my opinion, its a workout for anyone that wants to do chair exercises or just workout with a fitness trainer who takes his time to explain everything the right way to avoid injuries.

excellent workout! working very nice for me since past couple of days. i check my 2hrs reading, then do the exercise and test back i did see a nice improvement. i dint even do more than 10 min of this session and this is the result. i had a sprain in my leg while doing threadmill due to which i stopped doing it since past 2 days and shifted to this one. Thanks you!

Just today I been doing this chair exercise. And I had diabetic for 10 years now. I do do reguarely exercises. But i find this one is good. So I will keep doing it. And i find it easy to do. Your exercise program has saved my life. I am getting my sugars in better control. My last A1C drop to 7.2. I used to be near A1C of 15.0. I am telling all my friends, family and friends about you. You were going to send me something by mail but I never got it, it is ok you have giving me the best gift and that is a chance to live longer under control with diabetes. Thanks!

Yep have to thank God for Charlie. I have done this now for 9 days straight. And I have feel like I have literally got my life back. My thinking has changed. I'm getting insights. I notice also when I eat. It's like my body. I saying no don't eat that. I have also got such a serenity from it . My mind peaceful. We in the UK solute you Charlie. I'm on deep level 1. I will do it for s month to build myself up . Then try the lower body exercises .

Amazing!!!awesome... I was really depressed due to my high blood sugar . Fasting was always higher than 140 . Now a Iam doing this exercise since a month .... won’t believe It’s below 100 these days. Today it’s 81👏🏻👏🏻 Add to it I reduced my medication dosage .👌👌pls trust me . Thank you so much for teaching us this exercise. 🙏🏽🌹

Mridula Sureshgooogle Dr Jason fung ... or google dr Grundy .... also Stop eating foods with carbs .... example rice ... potatoes... also do fasting ... once a week ... 24 hrs without eating ... reduce inflammation in the body... gooogle the KETO diet

Nice video, for monitoring my glucose values I use Nightrider CGM with Libre sensor. I am able to get alarms for out of range readings, share readings with my endo and caregivers. It's the best method of tracking exercise, diet, and other activities on one platform.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL Upper body work out! Today is my first day "11/08/17" I started at 12:30pm (176 glucose) 1:10pm (146 glucose) 1:40pm (122 glucose) Yaaaaasssssss!!! I will def be doing this daily, only I only have one 2 lb dumbell, but, I made it work. 💯💞💞💞💞💞 Saint Louis, Mo. You're a great, big help!!! Thanks again and again

Awesome workout in a diabetic and my blood sugars are a little high bc I had a kidney transplant 7 yrs ago, and I recently had a cortisone shot in my knee. My blood sugars are like in the the 4-5 hundreds I needed to find a way to lower them so I got on KZfaq and downloaded exercise for elderly diabetics and guess what?😁 I found you so thank you for helping me 😁

thank you so much for this exercise video. I deal with neuropathy and osteoarthritis in the knees so this is perfect. I have had a very sedentary lifestyle and because of this didn't use any weights. but I don't need to right now, I got a awesome workout!😁 As I do this more and get stronger I will incorporate them. Hi Charlie Thank you so much from the UK for a great video! I am 62 and have been diagnosed with T2 and advised by the diabetes nurse that I MUST exercise I am grossly overweight at 256lbs. Never do any excersise but just spent half an hou joining in and I already feel better! I have a lovely warm glow in my chest and arms! Some of the arm stretches were a bit challenging as I was born with scoliosis, and I have arthritis, but Im sure if I persevere they will get easier. Any ideas roughly how many calories this workout burns?

I stated w a reading of 153 after breakfast and Metforming . I took a reading when you said to: my glucose was elevated Ed by 6 pts😩 and o 159. I was hink it was the metforming? I had 1 parboil egg, 1/2 sliced muenster cheese, 1 el tavern ham,1 cup of cafe con leche. What I did wrong?

Hi, I live in the UK and just came across your videos. I'm physically disabled due to a foot injury being wrongly diagnosed, and I'm type 2. Also was in 8 auto accidents over 5 years back in the 90's.The chair gym has become available here. Would you recommend it?

Thank you for the video. It is hard to find many videos with limited leg exercises (in a wheelchair). It gets frustrating having to adjust nearly every other exercise because of it.

Hello Assia, Thank you for your message. A slight increase in blood sugar is actually a healthy response to exercise so depending on your starting and ending blood sugars, this might be a very healthy response and nothing to worry about!

Hello Chy, It is hard to estimate how many calories are burned because that metric depends on weight, height, how much weight you use and many other variables! We have a large library of workouts for people living with prediabetes and I encourage you to download the GlucoseZone app!

Hello there , I have a question. My husband has type 2 diabetes and doesn't want to workout. How can I encourage him to exercise. I tried working out with him but all he wants to do is watch Netflix during his free time at home. He always has excusing when it comes to exercising and eating healthy. I tried everything and I am sick and tired of his excuses please any advice would be appreciated. ......thank you for reading and responding....

Hi there! Thank you for writing in and I am so happy that you are supportive of your husband and trying to encourage him to get some exercise. It is often hard to try to encourage someone to change especially if they do not want to, but hopefully once he sees our content he will feel encouraged. We have found that people really enjoy working out with us when we are live because they are not alone and it is encouraging to hear and see others who are just getting started, struggle, or have been with us for a while. We have live workouts on KZfaq Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30PM EST and in our GlucoseZone app where there is also access to a digital coach who can encourage, support, and help. We often have couples working out together and our content is different in that only people with diabetes are doing our workouts and checking their blood sugar together. I would be happy to speak more about this if you would like to email us at info@glucosezone.com or just suggest turning on one of the workouts even for him to just watch at first!

I' m new here. I want to know why we have to check our glucose level before and during exercise. Is there a certain level when we need to stop?

Very good question and thank you for asking. Exercise is different for people with diabetes, starting with the need to test blood sugar. Depending on your blood sugar level, it may or may not be safe to exercise, and it may or may not be safe to do certain exercises. Some people suffer from low blood sugar and after certain exercises need to make sure they are still in a healthy blood sugar range, others might start high and need to do exercises that help lower blood sugar. Our goal here at the Glucosezone is to have people in the range of 100-140 but it is safe 100-250. Hope this helps and stay with this journey.
