Good CLs? Jinan, Mino, Worcester, Nevsky. Period. Some low and mid tier gems: Konigsberg (better than Nurnberg imo), Harbin, Chapayev, Cleveland, Neptune.

Loved the list, though an honorable mention should go to the Shchors for overall CLs. IMO, I think she’s a better CL than Eendracht just because of the easiness to dodge airstrikes. Both great, but I prefer Shchors

I feel Chappy is better tier for tier than Shchors but its been a while since I've played it. Maybe should revisit.

You don’t see PA DD’s because people think they glitch when people torp other DD’s. People don’t like DW torps. DW torps are great, lower detection range, more damage, higher chance of flood…. But you can’t torp DD’s which I guess is a drawback. I don’t torp DD’s unless point blank knife fighting, I usually just gun them down.

Don't be surprised if you start seeing more Yue Yangs floating about. They have decent AA and can pack a punch. Last time i played mine was with a fleet mate that was using a freisland, Yue Yang was great at supporting him. Dd's got hammered by a ton of shells and couoget away. Sonar on Friesland and radar on yue yang combined AA was a terror to CV's

@@Slai47 they work excellent especially with other dd's, combined guns to deal with dd's good AA and your torps deal awesome damage to big ships. Sweet combo 🤤

For the overall top couldn't agree more. Jinan, Mino, and Worcester are just beasts. And Neptune is just downright the most enjoyable ship out there. I like her over Mino somehow.

I dont have Jinan or Mino so cant compare yet, but can def get behind Worcester as a top pick, although those ricochet off the moon arcs... I honestly am torn, but can say that I 51% prefer playing Seattle... I know, weird, but...🤷🏼‍♂️

I still don’t understand the “play like light cruiser” Worcester, Mino, Chappy, Sejong are all CL’s. DM, Hindy, Haarlem and Nevsky are all CA’s. Each of those ships in those 2 categories all have different play styles. I think people only say that due to misconception. They think 203 stars the CA not end it. CL is up to 155, CA is 156-210. I think the fact Russian cruisers play better at range in general also contributes. Since the Petro line was added and Moskva removed the main line is all smaller calibre so they just assume they’re all CL’s and all okay better at range. Moskva plays better at range, so does Krohn and Stalingrad. Nevsky playing at range is no different then those. Sure you can play them closer in but the don’t have armor and get merc’d quickly. Each ship has its own play style, from line to line and tier to tier. 🤷‍♂️

This is why I have never ventured into the how to play certain classes of ships. Better to show examples of the ships playing in game so people can learn from that.

@@Slai47 I don’t either. If someone asks for help I always ask for specifics. Each nation, class, specific line of class and tier have tier own characteristics usually. Especially since we have split lines in so many trees now I.e. Vermont/Montana, Elbing/Z-52, Henri/Marc. etc..

best TT cruiser i can think of at T8 is cleve. shes got all the goods. sonar and radar, high DPM, and great manuverability. next best things i reckon would be chappy and edinburgh, though chappy is boring and edin, while hella fun and quite strong in the right hands, cant really quite match up to cleve only TT cruisers i have at T9 is neptune and donskoi, both ships i enjoy and look forward to their respective T10s. leaning a little more towards getting mino as my first T10 cruiser

Edinbruh gets rekt vs heavy BBs. Neptune can atleast yolo them with torps, and it's way more comfortable to play. Mino is on a whole new level. As for Chappy, it's so damn fun, and the line gets more fun as you go further. Get Mino before nevsky if you enjoy Neptune. It's just soooooo good

Hey .. just cuz you dont see many Yueyangs doesnt mean they arent good. The problem IMO is that most people havent figured out yet to SHOOT DDs as a DD instead of torping the most nimble ship in the game. Majority of people dont like YY because of deep waters which makes zero sense to me .. the boat is outstanding.

Yeah, I know it's a logical fallacy. The guns on DDs though, most seemed to have left port unloaded or no men in there. I out gunned a US DD today in my kamikaze.
