The wheels are turning with ideas! So many projects come to mind! Fantastic explanation of how this machine works and what can be done with it. Wouldn’t need a die cut machine since this does paper too. Thanks!

Thank you, lol I got the machine and went to town with designs. Those both helped with branding and a lot of projects came in handy for Christmas time.

I agree, this was the most powerful 20w laser I’ve tried cutting down project time and the technology is ahead of its class. It takes your projects to the next level and opens up a new world. You just want to ensure you have good ventilation. I’ve been running it in the garage while multi tasking on other things.

At ~ 8:34 when you released the alignment foot, the honeycomb mat sprung UP. To properly focus, you need to keep the weight of the laser from pushing the work-piece down on the honeycomb mat. 8:51 This is an EXCELLENT result....

Agreed, the part you are referring to was just a test as the proper focus was in place for all of the projects. Thank you for watching!

Thanks for watching. I am 100% honest in all of my videos. The title and thumbnail is 2024 as we only have a few days left in 2023 and this is a new product. The thought process would be the best laser to buy going into the New Year. Have a great day!

Did you buy the Algo Laser Alpha laser engraver? How are you trying to make a sign?

Just pulled the trigger on ordering this laser. WM has the kit - air assist, rotary and risers for a fantastic 799...... I'm glad I saw your video to make up my mind to get a 20 watt laser. The test matrix tells all with damn near half of the boxes cut completely through. I'll be sure to manually move the x-y fully, BEFORE powering on, as it is just a good thing to do.. Thanks again for your work - really FUN.... Have you tried a low/medium power burst to create just a "dot" to have a visual of the beam itself? Inquiring minds want to know.... Question, as there is a sweet spot of focus that initially is good for the top several mm, would it be preferred to slightly lower the focus position for when you are cutting thicker material?? You would loose the upper focus a bit, but, moving the focus downward would provide a tighter beam as it penetrated towards the center of the wood. Just my thought and PRACTICE will tell.... 🙂

Congrats on your new laser engraver! You’re welcome, it can make endless projects and help take your builds to the next level. Is WM Walmart? To answer your burst question I always hit the fire button to see the laser and frame it out. As far as adjusting manually there is no need. An awesome feature is the spring-loaded focus stick. Simply pull down on the lever to lock it and set the focus then push the button to release it. 👍

Are you able to laser engrave a tee shirt with multi color ?

I have seen them engrave t-shirts, but multi color I’ve only done on metals. It’s an awesome machine that you can make as many projects as you can imagine and takes your projects to the next level. 👍
