What's up guys! Today's video is the best lower body training for snowboard season. It's a strength workout for snowboarding, so we hit an entire leg focused gym workout to get ready for the snowboard season. When it comes to training for snowboarding, we need to make sure we have the strength and tolerance to withstand the demands of the sport. We need the strength to overcome forces acting on our body, muscular endurance to withstand the burn as we're riding, and we need the ability to reduce our chances of injury as much as possible. Obviously the best way to train for snowboarding is to actually snowboard, but gym training for snowboarding is crucial for sustained success and injury prevention.
In this workout, we have a lot of strength training, working to push through that burning feel we get when we snowboard. We focus on all parts of the lower body, front, back, sides, and middle, targeting our quads, glutes, hamstrings, and core. The goal is to train everything working together, so they can all stabilize and coordinate together. We also have a lot of snowboard injury prevention exercises, such as plyometrics for snowboarding, stability and balance training for snowboarding, core exercises for snowboarding, and joint health / structural tissue strengthening for snowboarding.
