The Sai pads are great for my Nikola! Very useful in street riding for greater maneuverability as well as jumping over potholes and curbs. Quality and durability in a nice form factor and less expensive than the Clark pads too.

I like your point of view, I have watched channels where they talk about not having the heel hookup as a negative for certain versions of the clark pads but for seated riding you mention may be a bonus not having the heel pickups especially if you want to do any seated riding.

The heels up technique in seated riding is a key component that allows the rider to sit comfortably and also be stable and safer when riding. I talked about this in my “Essentials of Seated Riding” video. The Clark pads were my first choice because so many had praised them and I almost bought them too. I was thinking of just modding the pads or maybe request Chris to remove the heel part in his pads. However, when I discovered the Sai pads with the heel lock already missing, it was the exact pad that I was looking for. No mod necessary.

I really like both the Sai pads and the Clark pads depending on which wheel I’m riding

The Clark pads are awesome and heavy duty. I was initially going to get the Clark pads and then mod them for seated riding or at least talk to Chris to at least mod the pads before printing them. Those were viable options. However, as I was doing more research that was when I discovered the Sai Pads. They were perfect and no mod necessary.

Thanks for the helpful video! I just ordered myself a set. Although it looks like they are now named Urban Star Jump Pads. Because shipping is so expensive from the US to Australia, the Sai Pads worked out just a little more than half the price of Clark Pads! 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi Adam, I had a question and pardon me if its silly. I have V8F and very new to EUCs. Recently when I tried to jump with my custom Yoga foam pads, it made the sound when you lift the euc without pressing down on the shut-off button. I fear that it will either shut it while I am in the air, or get a super fast wheel spin. Don't you get those issues with your EUC?

The trick when doing a jump is to keep the body of the EUC as vertical as possible. If you apply a forward lean when you are midair, it can cause a rapid free spin enough to cause a cutout. As long as you don’t do a forward lean in midair, you should be fine.

I made the seat from my custom KS18L seat. I simulated an exact wood carving of the KS18L trolley handle in which the custom seat would attach to. I eventually painted the wood carving black to blend with the Nikola. After 200 miles of off road riding later, the seat is still secure. Are these pads removable?

Sai provides the super strong double sided tape already attached to the pads but the peel on paper not peeled off yet. Do not attach the pads directly to the EUC. You will never be able to remove them but if you do you will lose some super adhesiveness. Therefore, just attach the industrial strength Velcro which is already sticky enough directly to the super strong adhesive on the pads. It would take a gorilla to peel off the Velcro part once it attaches to the Sai adhesives. You would then attach the other side of the Velcro to the EUC. The industrial strength Velcro I use is really strong too but will be removable if applied with very strong force.
