I needed a pressure washer upgrade for one of my mobile detailing vans. I decided to test out the AR Blue AR630TSS, this is the cold water model with the total stop system. I had heard good things about this unit but I wanted to walk through it with you so you could see my first impressions. This may be one of the best electric pressure washer options for car detailng. Plenty pf PSI and tons of GPM! AR Blue did a fantastic job with this unit. It is compact, heavy duty, and performs amazingly well... Enjoy!!!

I've had mine for a year and a half and have no complaints, don't forget to change your fluid and if you are using hard water and it sits use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the motor over to knock off buildup before starting to prolong the life of the pump.

@rodcox1005
@rodcox1005 2 жыл бұрын
I just installed my AR630TSS yesterday and I absolutely love it. It does not make 1900 PSI and never will. The max pressure any washer will make can be seen on the pressure guage when the unit stops, you will notice your guage said 1400 psi, mine did as well. The bigger question is how much pressure is lost from that point when you are running it. My Green Works Pro 2700 would build to 2700 psi but would drop to 875 psi using a 4.0 nozzle. The AR630 only builds to 14000 psi but only drops to 1150 psi using a 4.0 nozzle and flows twice the water while doing it. Here are my numbers testing different tips. 3.0- 1275 psi, 3.5-1225 psi, 4.0- 1150 psi. You will notice there is only a 50-75 psi change for every 1/2 nozzle size. Since most of us are using these things to wash cars what's important is finding a pressure washer that can run 1000 - 1200 psi while flowing as much water as possible and this unit delivers better than any other 110v electric I've seen. Just make sure you have a 20 amp outlet to run it!

Perfect 👍 seems the 4.0 is the perfect size for this machine. Maybe even 4.5 to get more gpm

@@gunsmokezz I have the MTM Blue rubber nozzle in a 4.5 with a 40 deg fan and it runs 975 PSI and flows water like crazy. 4.0 to 4.5 is the sweet spot just decide if you want more PSI or more pressure. Both work well and most would be happy with either one.

@@johnboy5632 The simple answer is you need a generator that has a 20 amp 110v plug. This thing pulls around 19 amps if I remember correctly, I don't think anything with just a 15 amp plug will handle it.

I saw another review of yours and I commented you made me not buy it :). Thanks. I see this great review and you made me pull the trigger. I ordered this morning. was wondering if I should wait for the Active 2.0 coming in July for about half the price but I am sure I can't go wrong with the AR630-TSS. Your test on the VE52 was interesting and the 2.0 states to be even better, but probably not the longevity and as robustness of the AR. BTW according to AR site normal working pressure is 1400PSI so readings you were getting are good. I love watching your reviews since you do different non biased tests and answer many questions I usually have. Good work. I would press the like button more than once if I could.

Just got the AR675 unit that runs on 15 amps and is very quiet unit after my VE52 unit failed with in 6 months, so I decided to move up a level. I found the pressure levels and GPM are advertised at 2000 psi and 1.7 GPM but wasn't getting those numbers like you. So I see on their website the specs are showing MAX pressure and MAX GPM numbers and below those specs they show the rated pressures and that is where it is at. This can be manipulated by the nozzle size as you show, I really like this unit so far and the noise level is quite low one of my favorite features.

Love mine, really do. But in my detailing trailer I run a igen4500 inverter generator. The plug that comes with the pressure washer would constantly pop it's breaker when the inverter would ramp up. Work around was to do away with the factory plug and wire in a normal waterproof plug. Second issue was finding the right diaphragm pump to feed the pressure washer from the water tank. Running a 3gpm pump just wouldn't feed the pressure washer enough and it definitely didn't sound happy. The fix was to run a 5gpm 60 psi pump to feed it. Next issue was it over amping the transfer pump because even though it was being fed, it still wanted to pull the water. Factory fuse for the diaphragm pump is 15amps, it's currently wired to a 30amp breaker with heavier gauge wire. Again, I love the pressure washer for its reliability, but if I had to replace it.....id go with the non TSS model. There's a delay that I don't care for. BUT, it's currently in year 2 and washing away. Just some food for thought for the mobile detailers out there👍

This has probably been asked and answered but I can't find the answer. How much foam canon solution is needed to wash a standard size car? Do I need to mix up a entire LItre every time or is it possible to mix up a lesser amount? can the solution that is mixed be saved in the canon and used on the next wash or does the foam canon need to be cleaned each time?

I just read this in the manual as well. The DI water will ruin metals over time so it is best to run soapy water afterwards on tap water to flush out the DI water if that makes sense.

Can’t wait for the active 2.0 to come out, sounds like it’s going to be at the top for “consumer grade” around $3-400 range if I remember right, not too bad for the number they say the machine is putting iut
@obliviondio
@obliviondio 2 жыл бұрын
Active 2.0 is a throw away product as in once it goes beyond the warranty then you throw it away. If you need individual internal parts to fix it yourself then you're screwed. It's no different than the other low-end washers that are only imported as whole units where there is no option to buy individual internal pieces.

@@peterjohnson8631 They are keeping quiet about it which is a red flag. It's probably similar to the ve56 as just a 2 year then throw away. These are not long-term units. Imported to sell at a low price to make high profit off sales. No different than every cheap throw Away at the box stores.

@@peterjohnson8631 Trusting someone that gets endorsements off something he sells is not wise. Just the same with any review on KZfaq that embeds ads in their videos even though you pay for KZfaq red to watch adfree videos. Obsessed considers the build quality of the 630 as "janky" implying not so great compared to his kranzel even though the 630 can outperform the kranzel and last as long. The 630 can also be pieced together with all available parts in the schematics just like the kranzle. Overall the 630 is just as high-end as the 110v kranzel. The Active 2.0 and all of their other products are just at a bar slightly higher than box store 110v electric quality. I say 110v because box stores like northern tool have high quality 220v in the store.

Matt from Obsessed Garage has tested this unit as well. He used a 5.0 orifice nozzle and got 975 PSI with just over 2.3 GPM. I got a chance to try one for myself and I absolutely loved it. Also, ratings on rinse nozzles and foam cannon orifice sizes are different. Foam cannon orifice sizes are actual 1.1 mm, 1.25 mm, etc. Whereas orifice sizes from the 0, 15, 25, and 40 degree are standardized at 4000 PSI and the orifice number indicates a GPM at the 4000 PSI. So a 3.5 orifice rinse nozzle is 3.5 GPM at 4000 PSI, not 3.5 mm.

@@peterjohnson8631 I just went by Matt's testing in that close to 1000 PSI for washing cars, the AR630 got a little over 2.4 GPM. The smallest you can go for the AR630 is a 3.0, I believe. You'd get about 1700 PSI at maybe 2 GPM but you'll be pulling 17-18 amps.
