They must have updated the plug recently. My AR630 TSS that was bought a couple years ago from The Clean Garage has the 2 vertical "15 amp outlet style" prongs. Obviously I only use it on a 20 amp outlet/circuit but I guess they made it a little more idiot-proof.

Awesome and at $15.38 @ pound (lol) it isn't bad for THE best pressure washer; as long as the maintance parts are easily available and are not way overpriced. If you're making an income with a pressure washer, this is hands-down a great deal. If you mentioned the warranty I missed it. Note: That 1/2 the price of a Kranzle pressure washer!
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
Just a one year warranty on the 600 series pressure washers. I have not really heard of many issues with them from the people I know that have had them for years. That is a bit short of a warranty period though. Usually the pump head gets a longer warranty than the unit itself.

I bought one last summer from ebay and it came with standard US 3 prong. I'm running a Predator 3500 generator, should that be enough power? I had no problems with the AR when I first started using it but on my last mobile detail of the year it would trip the generator and power down. I've heard other people had problems with this and they converted their 3 prong into the RV type plug yours came with and shortened the cord. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I was using a 1/4 in Uberflex hose at the time. ps your channel is awesome and informative, best of luck

It pulls some amps that’s for sure close to 19. I think they change the cord after so many people were tripping there 15amp breakers with it. I do know Clean Garage states you need 7200 watts to safely run it. Since it’s induction it will pull lots of starting power each TSS cycle.

@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
My experience 3/8 hoses on the higher GPM machines the start/stop seems to work way better. Especially on the Active 2.0 my 1/4 uberflex it takes 2 seconds longer to stop and it surges every now and then. 3/8 hose never have those problems. I just prefer them especially the Blushield and Gray ones on Amazon as they have a smaller diameter than say a Kobrajet.

Thanks for sharing the technical aspects between the 2 size hoses, and how electric pw might respond/react. Upgrading from my gas pw, so a little bit of a learning curve. Last question .. 50ft 3/8 inch hose. Pressure washer like this I think 3/8 hose is the way to go. 1/4 inch hose over 50 ft will start to get pressure drop. Depends on the hose reel as well some use very small diameter fittings that could restrict flow.

Do you have a way to test for starting amps and running amps? AR claims the starting watts is 8400 watts… I don’t so that being possible. I have it set up in a detail trailer and have had nothing but problems trying to get it to work consistently. I have it running on a 30A breaker on the generator. I would buy a tool to test that but I don’t have a dedicated 20 amp breaker available to me to test…
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
I’m trying to get a meter to test I don’t have one that works with the 20AMP plug on the machine. I do know Clean garage says you need 7200 watts. Info For Mobile Detailer Setups: AR Tri-Plex Pumps must be gravity fed when being fed from a water tank The tank should be AT LEAST 12" above the pump The tank should be as close to the pump as possible The inlet hose diameter should be doubled in size when gravity feeding (1.5") Generator Requirements: To properly power a commercial pressure washer long term we suggest using the following formula when determining your generator wattage: AMPS X VOLTS X 3 = At least 7200 running watts

I’m with you on preferring a 25 over a 40 nozzle. I have a low gpm pw though and as you said with this 40 might make more sense on this beast. Be interesting to see if move to it it. Nice get. These are definitely great units and seem to make more sense from a value performance perspective. As nice as the Kranzle is it only makes sense to me from a price no object or for someone using it a ton. Given what your doing now I think you could probably justify either one. I can’t justify either as mine isn’t wall mounted. Since I have to break down and set it up evertime a garden hose and Gilmour foam gun make more sense for a weekly maintenance wash when the car isn’t very dirty.

@@CarsWithKeav I just looked at it. That would be convenient to have a quick connect for just the nozzle and pop the foam gun onto it. I’ll have to see it in action in your video. @CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 3 ай бұрын
I think it’s great I just can’t justify the cost from a hobbyist perspective. Plus the AR has way better numbers performance wise. Kranzle struggles to get to 2.0 gpm and AR just cruising at 2.2 gpm.

Good comparison! I was torn between the AR and the Kranzle… ultimately ended up going Kranzle due to repair info and parts more easily available in the US and on KZfaq. The AR seemed tough to find basic parts to rebuild when compared to the other. Would be an expensive video, but comparison between the two would be neat to see.

The AR now seems to have readily available parts through many outlets. I’m Afraid to review the Kranzle as I know It won’t put out these kinds of performance numbers and the new ones coming look to have even better numbers. I might not be so excited just do to the price. Between Zoro and Clean garage they seem to have most of the parts now.

@@CarsWithKeav fair enough. The OG model I just tested and I got 2.11GPM at 1200PSI which is awesome. The reason I pulled the trigger on that instead of waiting for the active 2.3 or other new models is the track record. For 500-800$ I don’t really want to be the beta tester. At $350 for the active 2.0 it’s well worth being the beta tester for the pressure washer.

@@Shane7son I know many who run these in their mobile setups and they run all day long without issues. Most of them don’t do fleet washing it would be one customer and then on to the next one so there is some time between vehicles. Not many vehicles in one spot. I would say the gas powered ones are probably built better for that type of repetitive washing. Most fleet vehicles also are usually wrapped or most owners don’t care about the paint as much so a gas powered would be more efficient just because of the pressure and flow it can do removing a lot of road film without soap.

When i had stated in the original message to them that it was leaking immediately before even pressurizing the unit.
