Interesting. On my very first playthrough I did only the story mode and avoided the crew challenges and side missions, thinking 'gonna power through to get to TVHM". It was a pleasant surprise to see that Mayhem mode added a new layer to normal mode and decided to stick around normal and be 100% thorough, and I hit the level cap a at a good pace. The XP, Eridium and cash boosts certainly made it more fun.

i did every quest and explored every corner of every map on my first playthrough and farmed a few bosses/minibosses a little bit like one punch, graveboi, and the chuppacabrach etc and ended on level 44 after finishing story. thank you for the video

this is my basic route to xp when i start a charcter, kill everything you see, do the golden calves or headcase quest after killing mouthpiece, then when on promethea do the rise and grind quest, dynasty diner quest, and killa volt quest, ( i typically farm one punch for about a level or 2 plus one pump gives you an easy kill on traunt and destroys katagawa balls armor) when you get to athenas proceed normally killing anything and everything that moves. Then kill chupa for some good xp and go until you beat traunt. After killing traunt and returning to sanctuary do the invasion of privacy quest for the xp and boo+ for an easy kill on katagawa ball. After athenas continue through the skywell and kill katagawa ball, (dinkle bot farm is optional for a level.) then when you head to eden 6 do the first quest you find (the masher quest that I dont remeber the name of.) Continue through eden 6 until you reach the point where you can take optional quests from clay. He has a quest where the calypsos have their followers fight eachother for team troy and tyreen, do this quest. continue the main story line until you reach the point where the sellout quest becomes available to you, do this quest for some juicy easy xp plus an op legendary that should carry you up till graveward. from the graveward forward, killing enemies should keep you on level for the main story line (as long as your killing every enemy you come across) if im wrong then sorry for some of the false info. Edit: forgot to mention i also do the only quest available on athenas when you first get there, and when in the jakobs estate do the witches brew quest also.

Road dog spawn on mayhem 3 is awesome for xp and legendaries from BA enemies especially while the rare spawn event is active

I agree....I level up the fastest when battling mobs of badass and anointed enemies instead of farming bosses, which have annoying shielded moments and varying attacks. Now that Mayhem mode is available immediately after completing the game once, I say just run through the game....beating it around 30 or 31, then immediately switch to mayhem for boosts in loot and XP, then do side quests. One area I’ve discovered associated with a great chest farm, is Atlas HQ. There are like 7 or 8 white chests and one or two red chests, and even an eridium chest. There are no enemies until you get in the lab, but there are several high level ratch enemies, and again on the back porch areas of Atlas HQ, where the last two white chests are, there are a ton of these insect type enemies who seem to grant a lot of XP, while getting a TON of great gear both from chests and from enemies while in Mayhem mode. Two times through Atlas HQ and my entire inventory is purple and orange, and I’ve leveled up almost 2 levels. I don’t even bother with Katagowa Jr....unless you’re farming something from him, its just a longish fight.

Just play without being connected to the internet, you'll get 900%XP on Mayhem 3.

I don't want to spend 5 more hours of side quest when I can just finish the game, then do all the side missions on mayhem mode where all levels are balanced to your character with much more XP. The Rampager vault boss is also one of the easiest to kill in the entire game can be done without distributing a single skill point on mayhem 3 all that's needed is a single artifact that plants a electric coil when you slam slam 3x fight ends once slam per phase and it's dead also there's the bonus with this boss in the vault room the two chests that are covered by eridium are always covered by it so extra eridium after fight and every other load those two chests will be respawned where other chests are on timers those two just require that go in and knock the eridium off for them to reset

My brother I went from 45-50 in one loop of the rare spawns. Not all spawned in since this glitch makes you pseudo offline but dam was that excellent. Everyone level up those toons quick before the next patch we get!

On my first playthrough with a fresh character i was doing everything, including crew challenges (all logs, hijacks etc.), side quests and stuff. I ended up with Tyreen The Destroyer being level 35 while i was level 47. Gearbox really need to patch it somehow in my opinion, that's not normal.

This is what I do if I just want to rush my other chars to max level. step 1: Rush story mode. Do story mode missions only. If you are falling behind with weapons go to the ship for weapons in the vending machine as they level with you. step 2: Go to offline and than go to mayham 3. At this point you should be level 31-36 area. It depends if you run past everything or kill along the way. step 3: Go to athena. This place has maliwon soldiers who are the easiest enemies to kill in the game as a lot of them have oneshot crit areas. Adjust the modifiers(exit and go back into the game) to what best suits you and than go from start to boss killing everything along the way. step 4: To keep up with the levels and your weapons, collect all the rewards from the bosses and enemies along the way that are upgrades and just keep dropping everything(or hold onto them to sell at the start). Repeat this all the way to 50 and you'll get more than enough money to max out most if not all ammo slots, you'll be level 50, and have decent level 50 weapons to continue on. There is no real easier way to do it. Doing sidemissions or trying to farm early on does nothing for you other than slowing down how fast you could level. Going through the game the first time is to slow of an experience gain but when you get to mayham 3 offline you get 900% experience pure kill, which means going through athena just once is going through it 9 times in vanilla(or 8.5 times for online). I'd suggest second one to be the mouthpiece run but really the anointed guys can be extremely frustrating and a royal pain in the ass. So maliwon soldiers are the best to deal with as they are weak to shock, can be oneshotted easily, and the only other enemy you have to worry about is the ratches which are also easy to deal with. Completing the story can take between 6-8 hours depending how fast you go through the story. If you kill everything along the way and play the game it took roughly that long. I beat the game normally around level 34, than it takes me about an hour or two depends on my luck with drops and modifiers and I'll get to level 50. After I just farm altas HQ chests for good level 50 weapons and than go boss farming. If you have no good weapons to start with for going into mayham 3. Turn on mayham 3 and go to atlas HQ and farm the chests there. There are 14 or so chests you can get without having to fight a single enemy and you can get legendaries and other things from them.

For the last thing Puma talks about, playing without hotfixes, you don't have to dashboard quit. You can just disconnect your console/PC from the internet before starting the game.

my way to xp is: farm the skraag until it drops its leg gun then progress up to traunt and then farm traunt. It makes going from lvl10-ish to 20 easy and fast. Then speed run the story as you'll be OP enough for up to troy. Then finish the last part of the game and you should be around 35. At this point just start mayhem and destroy graveward... easy and fast^^

The best legit way is by far the cistern of slaughter since it's the easiest arena. Not to mention the massive amounts of money you get there as well. Surprised it wasn't mentioned

hey this is in related but I found that you can keep the rouge sight pistol from the mission going rouge by putting it on your wall. When you take it off your wall it's no longer a mission item and you can keep it after you turn the quest in. Trying to bring publicity to this glitch thing.

Once you unlock Mayham 3 do the following. Go to sanctuary and set it, Close the game, reopen Start character fast!!! Don’t let the game load and connect to wifi. If done right every kill will get you 1k xp And bosses will give like 100k xp This works on PS4 not sure about Xbone or PC

Hi, I'm at level 57 now and I can't level up my skill points anymore. I am able to receive guardian ranks points but still want some of the skill points towards my character that I was not able to grab. I finished the main story and am in mayhem mode 2 right now. Is there a way to still get skill points for my character (FL4K)?? Thanks.

You definitely did not do your research on that exploit. To disable the hotfix just turn off your internet and reboot the game then the xp gain in mayhem 3 would be 900%

The "glitch" metod is esaily done by playing offline

The "exploit" at the end isnt exactly a glitch all you have to do is play without an internet connection so the game dosent have the updates applied to fix the mayham boost to what it was intended to be

It seems I got the exploit by accident after my game hard crashed, but I didn’t know what was happening and re-restarted my game and that fixed it, now I wished I hadn’t so I could’ve had a few more guardian ranks

If you want experience you can always go into a level 50 players game. You will get two or three levels at a pop :-) and it's totally legit

Best way to Level Up is to kill the billys over and over i went from lvl 40 to 50 in ca 30 min.

I didnt quit the game with alt+f4 once, but I get the update message EVERY time I load my character. Havent been leveling up fast though. Did quite a bit of side content and finished with level 35. Pretty standard.

I just farm chupa at mayhem mode 3, about 50k a min while offline... unless you’re playing on game version 1.0 offline , in which u can still just farm graveward at mayhem 3 with pipe bomb Also does any1 know if pipe bomb nerf is a hotfix or game update? I never got around to trying it again offline

That trick at the end is not a trick if you play offline it give you a bunch of xp there a zero hunt that if you play on mayhem 3 offline it will give you 160k to 260k for each kill and I think there are five mobs so everytime you kill em you get one or two GR

See I disagree with this. Just rush the main story as fast as possible, whenever you’re too low level and can’t complete the next quest go farm whatever boss you beat last or a nearby unique spawn. Once you beat the game, farm graveward. Once you hit 50 then you’ll have all those side quests AND crew challenges to hit at level 50. You could even save all of the TVHM quests for the inevitable dlc level cap increase.

If you just turn off your internet and play offline the huge XP boost is applied, no need to dashboard quit or alt-f4, mayhem mode connected to the internet you get a 50% XP boost, when playing offline you get a 900% XP boost
