Another excellent video. So glad I found your channel about a year ago. If more people fished and cooked like you do then I truely believe we would have more sportmen and women enjoying the great outdoors. I have a very distinct memory of the first fish I ever enjoyed when I was a kid. It was a fresh caught rainbow trout cooked in a foil pouch with just salt, butter and lemon. I still think about how good that was from time to time.

Can't wait to see some hunting videos! I think that is going to change the game for you. I have introduced many people to hunting over the years, and while not all of them have become dedicated hunters. All of them were so glad for the experience.

It’s amazing to see Taku mix American fishing team techniques i.e. fly fishing rivers, spin fishing rivers, and all that. On top of that use Japanese techniques to cook/eat American fish is sooo cool. Big fan.

Technically, you could count this as another “deliciously invasive” installment since brown trout are native to Europe and were introduced to North America!

Amazing! You're reminding me of the KZfaqr Virtuovice. He's an avid fly fisherman in Hokkaido, Japan. When he's not hunting deer, he's fishing in smaller streams, making rice on his Firebox and preparing sashimi from his catch by the riverside. Definately a man of his generation in Japan. The both of you make me hungry for sushi! You may find him of interest...

Loved watching you fish for browns, what I go for here in Mt. as well. I'm at the point in my life where I just fish barbless hooks, if I loose them oh well, they will be here next time I come back:) Thank you for another great vid guys!

Bring back beautiful memories of my home state. I remember hiking for a while and fishing is far off water ways just like this and catching trout. And BBQing them. I had no idea I would fall in love with sushi later but I have always loved fish.

The first time I had sushi was in middle school. On my walk home I would stop by a sushi Togo spot and would get inari and CA rolls. Brings back memories.

That first fish was cool to watch you hook so quickly. I'm glad I watched the video before commenting! Being born and raised in SW Washington I've known a surprising amount of people who are misinformed that eat raw salmon and steelhead from the rivers. I wouldn't eat cooked sturgeon either unless I was confident the fish had just left ocean waters.

Very enjoyable video! Always encouraging. Just an old man giving a tip, keep your rod tip up (about a 2 o'clock position) just might help you not lose the next monster. Chefs meal at the camp...Always impressed.

My mom was born and raised in Hawaii, and she was half Hawaiian, that is what she ate and that is what I was raised on in Oxnard, Inari, just the way you made it, still my favorite sushi, nothing but rice.
