HeyHo, for me it s a 50 - 50 between them and the fire archers. For me it depends on the map and if you are attacker or defender. i was a big fan of the Janissaries until bringing my archers out of the vault. With some new doctrines and the burning dot they can rip units apart even faster. Also thanls for the Videos

Oof, I think this explains why Janissaries have been my number one unit to suicide on when I try to solo harass ranged squads as Nodachi. Overall I don't find them too overpowering though, and I feel like I see just as many Incendiary Archers and Namkhans around in sieges.

I really loved them back in season 8 before I took a long brake due to personal stuff and work and glad they are strong. I have always been a Kriegster fussilier fan and when I had the chance I always got them in free battles and such but the issue is in normal sieges you simply don't have the leadership even with leadership from equipment so I end up getting a tier 5 iron reapers( loving those guys ever since the buffs) a tier 4- berserkers or stalwarts and jannisaries to use up most of my leadership.

I think they are quite accurate musket unit, so you can replace accuracy doctrine with hp doctrine for a bit more survaibility or breakthough doctrine for more damage.

I don't know. While the Janis can dish out the hurt both Rattan Vipers and Marksmen can do some damage while also making the enemies hit like wet noodles with their poison effects and the Marksmen can fire just as fast if not faster than the Janis can.

Yes it's a good unit, but it is not an OP unit. - I usually take 3 melee units and 1 ranged unit in battles. The ranged unit I chose is between zykalian, janissairies and outriders, but overall janissaries are usually the ones i take the least the reason for that is quite simple, they can be easily killed and needs a lot of babysitting, so i only take them on certain maps where there are certain areas where they are perfect and cannot be trebbed and cannot be backstabbed. - I was able to kill about 60 janissairies on a map with the sons of fenrir, before people start commenting from what they saw in the video at 10:53, the person who used the sons there didn't had time / cooldown or forgot to activate the abilities because sons of fenrir will annihilate the janissairies if properly used. - Also the unit is even good against purple or gold units, it is one of the longest shot musket in the game with a very decent accuracy. - I'm noticing in the comments that people are suggesting Incendiary and Namkhans which is true for the moment where we are limited up to blue units. Indeed the namkhans bleed is extremely useful in general on unshielded units, and the incendiary units are also good for cc-ing units and damage over time (dot) effect. But after we get purple units that might change. Very good video Evo Loz.

I ask why they change the best map from season 4? they can just make another version of it. and about this unit from season 4 too :p its strong, but need some luck, mukset players can delete range units so easy, and there good archers units too.

i think the best t3 range units are the ball boys. They have the most impact in group fights.

For me in early of season incendiary archers are more powerful.

I beg to differ that janissaries aren't the best range tier 3 unit incendiary are the best they hit for about 2k a hit without flaming arrows and flaming arrows just kill everything

They are worst ranged unit when it comes to aiming.They are accurate but half of the time they dont shoot if target is on hill or wall .Unless target is 2 miles away they cant shoot from the walls .Horrible unit.
