1 Box German choc cake mix
1 jar smuckers Carmel
1 1/2 tub cool whip
1 can sweetened. Condensed milk

I used to work in a bakery. When dusting your pan instead of using flour. Use about 2 tablespoons of your DRY cake mix. Makes it even more tastey! Or you can use cocoa powder too. 😀👍❤

When making desserts, I use powdered sugar, to dust the pan. I also use it when rolling out dough.

I love all your recipes and I enjoy everyone of them. You can feel the love from you as you are given out the recipes. Most of us just want the media and people trying to divide us as a Country to leave us a long and let us love each other .Look in our big cities the shootings that are happening and they worry about dividing us instead of showing some love to these cities and stopping the crime and deaths of the youth.

Please please don't get offended about what I'm going to say. By no means do I mean it negative. Maybe because I came from such a screwed up family, but being from the south. ( Mississippi,/new Orleans) I have always envied afro/american families, because of their closeness, and their cooking. And by that I mean there's is nothing better than a black grandma cooking on a Sunday afternoon. Lol having all of the family come over for Sunday dinner, and no one on this planet can cook better than grandma. And no matter what kind of trouble you get into, grandma would always talk to you, take you into her arms and squeeze you, and tell you , you will always be loved and have a home. Then make you a big o plate and make you sit down to eat. Like I said I don't mean any disrespect. I'm sitting here crying as I write this. White families don't have that bond or love.. so please keep the videos coming. And please don't anyone get offended by what I said. I have so much mad respect.

With chocolate cake or brownies from box or scratch, use cool coffee instead of water, makes the chocolate flavor so rich.

Gina, I stayed riveted to your presentation for the entire time. I kept thinking.."Girl....you belong in the classroom!" Your voice, your enthusiasm, your entire manner speaks "Master Teacher". I know because I am now retired but taught 30 years at middle school. You have a love for your subject, love for your listeners and a total knack for teaching how something is done in such a way as to captivate your audience. I don't know where you work now, but if you should ever want a change, check out a way to get into a school. Lord knows, we always need good teachers and you were born with that gift. Thank You. A tip when you use cool whip for an icing. Take 1/4 cup of sour cream and one Tablespoon of sugar mixed then add to your cool whip. Stays firm. Looks great.

I made this cake and it was good, but after it sat overnight it was magically delicious. It's one of those cakes where after it sits a couple of days it's perfect. Miss Gina you made it a complete success with your step by step instructions.

I love to see you younger ladies fix these older recipes. I collect cookbooks and some of these are in books from the 50's and 60's, so they are tried and true, and you can not go wrong with these and they're easy, too!!!!

A few years ago, I started using buttermilk in place of water when I make a cake from a mix. I think the texture is much better.

@@leslieparker4082 for low call/ fat on any cake mix sub 4 egg whites vs 3 eggs and applesauce instead of oil. Tastes pretty good made that way. I do it all the time.

I made this for my family last Christmas and they LOVED IT. Mercy, Mercy. We just couldn't get enough of it. I'm making it again this year but I have to make it the night before so I hope it stays well over night.

I love that sweet loving way she talks too. So peaceful, and full of the love of the Lord. You can tell she has Jesus in her. Remember Bob Ross and how he was so gentle and full of love when he painted his beautiful pictures? She is that way when she cooks. Such tender joy in what she does.

No . I thought the same thing. Pecans, Walnuts I tried them both .. they clash because thr heath toffee bits are crunchier and the nuts clash and are bland in comparison .. if you hav to try yourself I understand lol . But did it . No . Make the recipe as it is .

I’m with you. I’ve had 12 years of abstinence since I got divorced, and the reason why is I love God and Jesus more than sex and because I am still single. 😥 My sister, who is such a good lady and a dear sister, but who doesn’t love God, says I’m missing out, but I’m only trying to be loyal to God and follow His commandments! I believe he has so much in store for me if I show my loyalty to Him! That’s the only way I can abstain and have lasted this long. I hardly miss it, usually, but I really think I must deserve this cake since I’ve been so trustworthy! Especially since some say it’s better than sex! Maybe this cake will make up for it. ;) I should make this cake asap! Cant wait to indulge! But, not too much - I still am the same weight as in my picture that was obviously taken eight years ago, because it has two of my then four year old triplets in it! 🥰

Wonderful childhood memories of licking the beaters and bowl,large family and always if not able to get one of the cake utensils, the one's that missed out on the cake got to share the frosting bowl etc.our family had to stretch the sharing, but very enjoyable, thanks for sharing and all the memories. I’ve been making this cake for years and I found the recipe years ago called Heath Bar Cake. After the cake has cooled before the whipped cream sprinkle half the bag of Heath Bar pieces over the top. Adding the Heath Bar pieces on top of the cake adds a crunch to the cake. And I don’t skip on the condensed milk or caramel for the cake, I add the whole can and jar for the cake and buy extra for the topping. I figure if I’m going to make this cake I’m making it right. Then sprinkle the rest over the whipped cream. Tip: lately I’ve been having trouble the bags of Heath Bar Pieces so I have bought the giant candy bars of Heath Bars and broke them in pieces myself. My sister in law made it with Butterfinger pieces one year and it was really good.
