Detroit native here with a fun fact: Gil Hill only did the BHC movies and nothing else because he wasn't an actor. He was a cop (an actual Inspector at the time of shooting) who later became a Detroit City Councilman that the director of the original liked so much, he cast him as Foley's boss. Funny how that worked out, right?

I worked for Gil's mayoral campaign, and knew him to be one of the kindest, and most engaging people I've ever known. From his closest confidants, down to the least of us among him, he was always interested to hear what everyone thought about whatever we discussed. Be it campaign strategy, down to policy ideas....the man genuinely wanted to hear what Detroiters hoped for and needed. He also had one wicked sense of humor! Equally gallows and guffaws, he had seen it all and always found a way to merge the dark humor that served him as a homicide detective with the silliest, almost "dad jokes". He was an enigma of a man, and I am proud to have known him.

Mary, the two Stallone posters in Billy’s house: Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and Cobra (1986), are a nod to the fact that Stallone was originally set to star in the first Beverly Hills Cop movie. When the producers wanted the film to be more of an action-comedy, it was rewritten for Eddie Murphy. Ironically, the ideas Stallone had for Beverly Hills Cop were reused for Cobra (1986).

This is one of the few movie sequels which are generally considered by audiences to be just as good, if not better than the original. One reason being that the characters were able to get into the action right away. In the first movie a lot of time had to be spent getting to know Axel. Then Billy and Taggart had to be introduced, first as by-the-book cops who were in Axel's way, then we see them eventually become friends. In Part 2, the four of them are already friends, so they were able to get right into investigating the crimes, car chases, and shoot outs, which is the fun part for the audience.

The Dating Game that was mentioned in the scene at Billy's house was obviously a dating show. It involved a single man or woman asking some questions directed at three bachelors or bachelorettes, each of them hoping that they get chosen for a date. That show was referenced in a movie you've previously watched on this channel, "Minions". When Kevin, Stuart, and Bob are watching the show on the TV in the store, the names of the three bachelors hoping to get the date happen to be their own names.

Beverly Hills Cop 3 has it's moments but it's definitely a shadow of the other two films partly because some of the people working on them from the beginning like Jerry Bruckheimer and the late Don Simpson weren't involved in 3's creation. (Part of what drives hope for the 4rth movie is that it's not just the OG actors, but Jerry Bruckheimer is back too.) So it's probably a good idea to not bother filming a reaction to the 3rd movie if you don't feel like it.

I would give the fourth one a watch, it's just as silly as the originals and feels like a good update for the character. I think Axel works better as an older action star then some characters because it was always his wits and fast thinking that made him effective rather then just brute size or strength. It's not like 4 is the best movie ever but neither are the originals, its another wild over the top ride with some fun action and a lot of jokes. I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I was going to.

Please don’t watch the 3rd one in private, it’s like watching every trilogy’s first two movies and we won’t know your reaction to the third one No matter what movie you watch, I always enjoy your reactions Also my regards to your best friend Always remember your beautiful memories and that she is in a better place remembering your beautiful memories too

All of these viewers saying ‘what a cameo by Cris Rock’ ummm people started in movies in bit parts before becoming stars. This is not a cameo 😂😂😂

Watched Beverly Hills Cop Axel F today, it was really heartwarming to see the boys back together with some new characters. Overall I’d say it’s better than 3, but doesn’t hold up.

I actually just watched Axel F last night. It's not the greatest, I don't think it's as good as the first two. It's definitely better than the "family friendly" third one, though. There's a lot of call backs, a lot of amazing music repeating and upgrading, and overall it's a really great story that brings Axel and the others into the modern times. Definitely worth a watch.

You should look up who Bridget Nielsen was married to between 1985-1987 😮

Not sure if you could redial a number with those old phones and the dating game was a game show not a reality show. We didn't have "Reality Shows" back then.

Like, subscribe and hit that Bell. Brigitte Nielson was married to Sylvester Stallone and was on the reality TV series "The Surreal Life" and hooked up with Flavor Fav of "Public Enemy". That was strange. Red Sonja is a fun movie. I haven't seen anyone react to it yet. ❤❤❤

29:52 Brigitte Nielsen got a lot of attention because she was married to Sylvester Stallone…it was also revealed she had an affair with Arnold Schwarzenegger while they filmed Red Sonja.
Beverly Hills Cop reminded how AWESOME Eddie Murphy is 😂❤️
