Does anyone else see the irony of the guy running it through the car wash often to keep it shiny but can’t be bothered to run it through Jiffy Lube once a month to keep it alive? Looking forward to the upcoming vids on this one. 👍

He stated that he got the engine for Powertrain out of Dallas. I looked into an engine for my 04 F150. Short Block $3200 (not a bad price). I would guess that he probably dropped around $6000 (not counting his own time since he owns the shop). $6000 + $2000 for the vehicle = $8000. Now the vehicle is basically new and can be ran for another 200,000 miles.

The 02's 03's and 04's all had different sounding exhausts. I picked the 02 with the big Goodyear tires. Electric shift 4WD. I bagan doing my own maintenance and repair since i was 18 years old. I paid to get some work done by a local mechanic. Upon reviewing the work, I was charged, and the work wasn't done. If you were local to me in Jersey, I would definitely take my truck over to you. I have a 2004 Fx4 great condition. Both body and chassis have minimal rust. However, I want to replace the engine and a few other parts. I enjoy your video, and yes, I'm a sub!

You did spend a pretty penny but now you have a very reliable truck . All done by yourself. I bought an 800 $ 2wd truck with 266k on it and never has let me down. I dont know if i would spend that much on the truck as it is not a 4wd. Cheers!

THIS GUY IS LUCKY IMAGINE GETTING THE 2,000 FOR THIS NICE TRUCK AND THEN JUST DOING ALL THE WORK ON IT YOURSELF EVEN IF YOU SPEND 3 OR 4,000 WITH A NEW ENGINE AND TRANSMISSON THIS CAN LAST ANOTHER 10 YEARS WITH VERY LOW PROBLEMS Thats a steal I wish I could buy it

Still rockin the 2003 f150 4.2 with 330 000kms on it that i bought for $900 Canadian. ive driven it for over 2 years and it really doesnt need much and theres not many new parts on it at all. alternator and power steering pump went out, it had no heat when i bought it which was the blend door motor switch for cold and hot air. put rear pads and rear rotors on it with a new pinion and front main seal and rear tires. not much elbo grease was needed. most parts are still in really good working order, driver shaft, shocks are still stiff, the entire exhaust is good, trans cooler and power steering lines healthy metal, underside has minimal rust, runs and drive, TC and overdrive work fine plan to hang on to it. its serving its purpose for what it is

Cheap vehicles have always been my best ones. I purchased a Corolla with a blown motor from a customer for $150 way back in 2000. Built the engine for about $700 and other than regular maintenance it’s been 💯. Daughter went through college on it and I still kick it when I need it.
