Big Versus Small Condos - Who Will Huat More?
There is always this discussion about big and small new homes. Should you consider the bigger new homes where there are more choices, more facilities and more transactions. Or should you consider the smaller new homes that are known for its exclusiveness and boutique concept?
I will be studying them based on their performances from launch to they hit the resale market. The projects I will be discussing include:
• Amber Park Vs Nyon
• Park Colonial Vs Jui Residences
• Kent Ridge Hill Residences Vs Harbour View Gardens
We will also be exploring 3 others condo to give them some context.

Not worth to pay $1.5m - $2m for an HDB unit. Generally, a condo has a better-quality resident, gym, swimming pool and security. We have only one life, a priceless life. Smart to enjoy life a bit to live in a condo. Wealthy people from villas, bungalows, terraced houses, condos generally prefer quietness and peacefulness, away from the crowded and congested areas. Have money, enjoy lah, why live and die like a beggar? SG transport system is quite efficient, no need to live within one meter away from a MRT or a bus interchange. Many Billionaires and Ministers from around the world are not educated from the top schools. Very importantly, invest in a property as a hedge on your money in long term and to invest in the property smartly at a fair value, no as a sucker to pay much more

depends. those that can fetch 1.5 ones are solid high floor hdb 5bdr with great view and windy and great location. in fact QOL is better buying superb hdb better than spending the 1.5mil on a ocr resale condo. to buy a similar area and size for condo at similar tenure and view will be about ~3.0-3.5mil. so you can think that hdb is super affordable at 50% discount off condo price for similar condo product.

Buying a resale HDB is better than buying a BTO? You can check the upstairs unit, downstairs unit, left-side unit, right-side unit for quality. Neighbors who are dirty or smelly infested with ants, housefly and cockroaches flying to your unit, hanging cultural or traditional clothes over your place, untidy plant pots with mosquitoes over your place, too many people living in the same unit, talking loudly, karaoke, playing loud music, radio or TV, dog barking, cat calling in the middle of the night, children playing all day or kicking football like their favorite Cristiano Ronaldo, noises from home rice or flour grinding machines, hammering spices with mortar and pestle, cooking oil and smoke going into your unit staining your clothes. Never live near unemployed or smoking people. Jobless lazy restless unemployed people are behaving badly. Never, never, never, never-never buy a property, public or private, with someone had died in the property. Why? Because the ghost, soul or spirit would remain in the same unit forever. Incoming new owner will face disaster with family members facing bad luck with negative energy, bad Fenshui. Generally, people living in private properties, condo or house, are of better quality. Nobody throws stones in a glass house. Generally, an expensive HDB estate has a better quality of people.

Agreed. That dev is very unique...what even more interesting was the timing of that few sub-sales before anything else... It not TRR boost it. It's other way round.
