Salmon fishing didn't work out first thing in the morning, so we decided to change locations and chase some Lingcod in the Kayaks.
Once again, the weather man lied to us, and conditions got interesting pretty quick as the winds continued to increase.
But the trip and braving the waves were well worth it because we landed an absolute beast of a Lingcod for a new Personal Best!!!

Me and my buddy went to Nanoose on Saturday am for some Salmon. Nice in the AM and got progressively worse throughout the morning sadly. Lots of salmon out there just all were under sized. Got to meet 2 other Kayakers out there was awesome and a nice site to see, were getting more popular! Love the videos of our island! Watch em every week. Keep em coming my dude!

Awesome job with the huge Ling! Just tried for a few days off of Mayne and the closest I got was two 22" and a 23", just a bit short. Still a blast out on the water! FYI the camera facing Kyle is only recording the left channel and its super noticeable wearing headphones. Crystal's sound was fine on the last video so it might be this specific GoPro.

Great fish Kyle ! Waves in that channel can really pick up quickly, funneling through there. Was the pedal better from Chemainus or Crofton ?

Thanks man, honestly it's pretty much the same distance maybe chemainus is a bit shorter so totally depends on the winds, we were lucky enough to have the winds coming from the south on the way back, was a pretty easy pedal minus the waves lol, both launches are great, crofton has a lot more parking though. Winds will play a huge factor in which launch we choose next time. Thanks for watching!
