I see your idea, but in practice, you overlook one small teensy weensy ever so crucial little detail: Sheldon’s ego and OCD. Need I remind you that this man, the smartest to ever come out of Texas, has an ego whose size rivals that of the sun. He believes himself superior to everyone else in the universe in virtually every way, and would deem the others-Howard especially-unworthy of possessing the real one. And even if the rings were made in exactly the same way as the original, there would be small, microscopic differences that Sheldon would be on the lookout for; imperfections in the gold, for example. If he finds out the ring he has isn’t the real one, he would not stop pursuing the real one until he found it or he died, whichever comes first.

@@TheDMan2003 i admit you have a good point. but there are 2 things about sheldon which would undeniably stop him from doing so 1. science. as mentioned before this would be an example of shrodinger's cat. all of the rings are simultaneously the real one and not the real one. and above everything sheldon loves science, if nothing else it would temper his actions 2. rules, especially rules as written, are pretty much a divine mandate for sheldon. if someone were to draw up a contract getting him to make it so he by no means are allowed to try and investigate the nature of the rings, he will be ultimately compelled to do so, even if he despises it.

To play devil’s advocate, in this very clip, Sheldon points out the “laws of maritime salvage,” which is his justification over his rightful possession of the ring in the first place. Whether these laws are actually real or not, I don’t know, but he clearly believes them to be real. This contract could hypothetically supersede these laws (assuming they actually exist). Though I would point out that in the Season 4 episode “The Agreement Dissection”, Sheldon rewrote the roommate agreement so that Leonard couldn’t exploit it. Knowing Sheldon, it would not surprise me if he tried something similar with this theoretical contract not to investigate the rings. Or he could try the reverse and find a way to exploit the rules of the contract (assuming they are not tight enough) to find a way to still investigate the rings without violating the contract. Again, the above is on the presumption that the contract is not 100% ironclad and loophole-free, which, in the best theoretical scenario, it would be. And while the gang isn’t as smart as Sheldon individually, they are smarter as a group. They would have little trouble exploiting Sheldon’s flaws to create a contract specifically to prevent him from going against it. And if he doesn’t play along, they have his kryptonite: his mother’s phone number.

@@TheDMan2003 firstly, i'd like to commend you on your knowledge and reasoning skills which are clearly well developed and secondly. although the group would naturally differ to sheldon to make the contract, as he is readily available, cheap, and well experienced. it doesn't precisely have to be him. in "the agreement dissection" it is proven that although sheldon's contracts are seemingly ironclad, it has been proven that people experienced or well versed in legal matters can find problems within his contracts. if someone else were to write the contract that sheldon has no power to alter it, and if it were written by someone experienced in law, sheldon may not even be able to find any loopholes. even still sheldon if he did choose to breach the contract may exchange the ring with someone else, i doubt he'd do so openly as he'd be exposing himself as a hypocrite and opening himself up to retaliation. although i admit he'd likely give himself away, either through unintentional excitement, or proudly boasting about his prize.

You clearly have given this a great deal of thought, and if Sheldon were to give himself away, it’s clear that his friends would punish him somehow. A well-enforced contract would detail the penalties for violating the agreement, and if they’re clearly laid out and severe enough, Sheldon might not want to risk his plan. Though he’d always have that persistent little itch at the back of his brain that he would never be able to scratch, and it would slowly drive him crazy (well, crazier). If that itch goes unscratched for too long, then Sheldon could snap like a twig, and Arceus help the group at that point.

It's actually incorrect. There were roughly ten rings made for the film. Two were given to Andy Serkis aka Gollum and Elijah Wood aka Frodo, but the rest that weren't used are supposedly with the prop maker. There were other items stolen from the film set though, Sean Astin took home his hobbit feet, Sir Ian McKellen admitted that he stole some prop gold coins and the prop key to Bag End, Cate Blanchett actually stole the swords that Evangeline Lilly used in the film (It's shown in the interview with Steven Colbert during the pandemic) as well as her elven ears that she has. The biggest one ever taken from the set was indeed the horse that Viggo Mortensen rode in the trilogy itself as he had gotten a huge bond with the horse and rumors going around was that the horse was going to be put down after the film trilogy had ended, so he "rescued" the horse.

Yes!! Galecki as Leonard was cute for the first 3 seasons but since season 4 his head started getting larger and larger, and he looked awful, like he was swollen and sick all the time, did you notice? And here it was episode 3x17 so close to the end of season 3 and the start of season 4, and so yeah, his head/face already looks swollen and ugly.
