Hi, I went with microlocs. I am 19 months into my journey and it has been great!! You are right. I do not have to think about my hair anymore. I was a loose natural for 11 years. It was fun at first but then it just became work. Work everyday. Always having to think ahead. Since I got microlocs, I have not looked back. The best decision I have ever made for my hair!!💃🏾💃🏾

Living in NY, I can’t find a loctitian. The 3 I went to said my gate wouldn’t loc. 😩 no one else is taking new clients. It’s so frustrating!! Your hair is gorgeous!!!

If that’s okay with you 😊✨ I started my journey because I have such beautiful head of hair and I don’t do anything with it. I recently had my last baby and I don’t have time for it anymore. However, I’m four months in an OMG , best decision ever. I do have some challenges and I’m ready to open about it.

Your hair is gorgeous x How long was your hair initially before the install and how long did your installation take? I’ve got a sisterlocks consultation next Friday and I’m really excited. I’ve got a lot of hair (12-14 inches) but it tangles too bad that I just leave it in cornrows 24/7. I really want to experience what it’s like to have lower maintenance hair that I can style. Will you ever upload your sisterlocks maintenance routine x

You’ll definitely feel a huge difference just from no more tangling 🙌🏾 mine was long too - 16-17 inches and the installation took about 26 hours (32 with breaks). And sure; I’ll definitely make a maintenance routine video!

If you are relaxed but are looking to get sister locks should you let your hair be in its natural state for a certain amount of time… I love your hair…

Thanks so much! And nope, you don’t have to wait. You can start them off relaxed; it’ll just take longer to lock up fully.

Hiya, Your hair looks gorgeous! I found your IG after you were posted on the tinylocs page and I am so glad I did! About 3 months ago, I, too got super tiny sisterlocs (479 locs!) and I love the freeeeedom. I think I have a similar hair type and I wonder if your loctician ever warned against any breakage as they grow? Mine didn't and quite frankly, I imagine they will get sturdier as they mature. I've heard of people having to combine their locs to make their hair more "durable" but I hope I don't have to do that. I'd like to know your take, given that yours are >6months. Thank you!

Hi Joláadé! Thank you so much! And omg welcomeee to tinylocs and freedom!!! 479 😍😍 did you count during the install or after? but nope, no talk of hair breakage and I haven’t experienced any. I know I’ve heard mention of that happening to edges but my loctician intentionally didn’t loc too close to the edges, so I don’t imagine I’ll have those issues. And you’re right; they’ve definitely gotten sturdier!
