well the dance was shit. and the fight of todoroki and hado vs shigaraki was awful to watch, but at least dabis seiyuu did it well

@@eltioed5149 you’re smoking dude, the dance animation was easily one of the highlights of the ep. But yeah the todo and hado fight wasn’t the best but was anyone really expecting or wanting that to be good it’s such a tiny sequence

@@Kunoichi4ever4 There is the chance that she does know through the briefing before the mission commenced. After all they did get most of the League members' real names as shown in the Kamino raid though, I like to think they didn't inform about the villains' details to the children which allowed for this moment to still happen without Ochako being changed from her Manga counterpart.

Also, back in season 5 Rei mentioned that Endeavor always sent her a specific kind of flower because she mentioned that she liked it once on one of their 1st dates. It's true that Endeavor wanted half-cold/half-hot but their marriage actually has some love there

Same here. You can only play the blame game to a certain extent. Yes, I do believe it's Endeavor's fault Dabi/Toya became an arrogant jerk, but he became a killer because he wanted to, not because it was engrained into him. He claims he wants to carry out Stain's will, but even Stain was discriminatory with his kills and didn't slaughter innocent civilians.

I mean I can't blame him, with the trauma of being burnt alive and thrown on the street as a kid, with all the grooming he went through, I can't imagine what it had to be like. Obviously killing is not the answer but considering his circumstances it's so easy to say vs. of all the horrible stuff that actually happened to him. 'cause let's not forget he's still only 24, so to have done through that much abuse in such a short time, it has to have taken a toll on his mental health. I don't know how I'd myself behave with staples holding my body together and face from falling off, no doubt being in constant pain, while society looks up to the man that caused it all, knowing my younger siblings and mom are still abused at his hands, trying to survive on the street half dead...I don't even want to imagine what he had to do to survive. I can't judge him, and I can't dismiss Endeavour's implication in all this.

@@fantasylovemagic I think it's a combination of nature and nurture. I don't think Dabi was a great person to begin with (not necessarily a really bad human but more along the lines of maybe being a bit colder in terms of emotion). But you take that and amp it up many times over with exposure to abuse and/or neglect, suffering from severe physical pain from your own quirk, and being pushed aside and forced to watch someone else become the favored child prodigy, and you end up with something like Dabi. His father was a jealous, power-hungry piece of crap. He probably felt like Rei didn't do enough to protect him. Shoto obviously became the prized creation. I can see why he'd feel a lot of resentment towards them but why would you want to kill the two siblings who were there for you and were also victims?

@@whitneybennett4857 I don't know how you can say that Dabi wasn't a great person to begin with when he was A KID like...a child. A child is nor good nor bad. We saw it with Shoto, had he not been helped by Midoriya, he probably would have ended up bitter and vengeful like Dabi. And Touya was so after the love and affection of his father that he literally burnt himself alive. That's not someone who's cold to emotion. That's someone who feels too much, is touched starved after having been his father's world and been promised heroism to then be replaced and ignored. I don't understand why you all are acting like Dabi is mentally sane. Like it's obvious he's not stable. So you can't treat him like a rational human being, he's consumed by his emotions to the point he feels only rage and doesn't mind killing himself in the act of pursuing Endeavour. It make sense in this context he would be angry at the world. That's all he can see, rage. Also he never did anything against Fuyumi and Natsuo intentionally, he sent villains Endeavour's way, but again, because Dabi is only focused on his revenge, he doesn't necessarily see that it affects his siblings too. So no, Touya was not a bad person to start with, he actually could have been a happy and normal child if not for the turn the events took. We see him as a kid, enthusiastic and happy when he's making his father proud. That's all he wanted. The love, affection and acceptance of his dad. Who left him for dead and kept training his younger brother like nothing happened.

What I really like about the reveal tho is that sure, we pretty much already knew it at that point, but to have both shoto and endeavour's reaction at the same time in the middle of this huge battle, feels amazing. Especially followed by the reveal of Best Jeanist still being alive and appearing out of nowhere. It all feels sooo much more impactful imo

That's a fanon twist. He withdrew ATTENTION from Touya, in a (albeit a bit misguided) attempt to stop him from self-harming. He never directly did harm to Touya--never said anything hurtful besides "please find another passion this one isn't safe for you", which was actually fairly responsible of him as a parent. Literally everyone in the family BUT Touya has a stronger claim of abuse. Rei and Shouto were victims of violence and Natsuo and Fuyumi were neglected. Touya was... let down that he couldn't pursue a path that would kill him, by parents who didn't have the sense to get him therapy. Quit it with the screwy narrative.
