5:20 Officially, r^ is a variable for each point along the wire and it's generally NOT at a right angle to the wire, but is anything between 0° to 360° from the wire (0 at 0°, 180° or 360°, so that it could be oblique to the wire (with a component along the wire and the other perp to it). HOWEVER... John Hodge REFUTES this.
