A yacht hit sand on the way out over the bar this morning. Damaged the tiller and lost steerage. Fortunately, however, it was pushed back into the river mouth and over to the North Shore by the incoming tide and the north easterly wind. Lucky it wasn't the run-out. Anyway, thick low lying cloud here in Noosa this morning. Rain on the horizon. Sloppy swell on the bar and in the bay. Birds heading out. BOM forecast is for north easterly winds 10 to 15 knots turning northerly 15 to 20 knots in the late morning. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres around midday. Swell: North to north easterly around 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Filmed between 5.55am and 7.15am which was a couple of hours before a 2.07m high tide. Background Music: 'Mist'... by Odonis Odonis.
