I have to say As a Chinese woman, I do feel some of the words he uses are really vulgar, but I (and anybody who brings a brain) understand the difference between ‘vulgar’ and ‘being sexist’. The IGN translation is unprofessional and spiteful by twisted the meaning of the whole thing. Thanks for you guys paying efforts to digging the truth out! Respect!

It’s definitely gonna hit the market between lies of p and elden ring. Maybe between the first fallen order and elden ring. It’s got enough going on visually and conceptually to bring people from outside souls likes and it’s an intriguing story regardless. It’s eye catching and I think that’s it’s biggest marketability feature. I’ve never seen a fan base grown from a 4 year old trailer like this. So many people patiently dreaming of playing it in the years to come.

I'm honestly more interested in Phantom Blade Zero . It looks like what would happen if the 90s Hong Kong Martial arts filmmakers started making video games.

This game definitely has mainstream potential. Its already got an entire mythos of marketing and development history, lol. But that aside, it looks great. Nearly every personality in the online gaming sphere has their eyes on this game too. So i believe when it comes out it will be a show stopper. Assuming the performance is all there. I dont believe the drama will negatively impact it at all

problem with this game is that its a new IP its a somewhat a Souls Game(not as hard as Elden Ring) but the most critical point is the perfoemance cause remember the system req they used a GTX 1060 low settings with DLSS upscaling(they didn't say the fps)but we assume its a 30 fps and the other problem is that it has a DENUVO so combine the unoptimization of the game with DENUVO and its becoming a nightmare of a game to run and it doesn;t make sense again to not be able to run on the Series S when Alan Wake(UE5 Game) was running on the S

I'm so hopeful more moves like these of just not releasing on the Series S continue to be made, it has been acting as an anchor for a lot of studios specially those owned by xbox, not to mention it was probably a huge factor to what happened with Cyberpunk. Consoles should just be left in a bygone era or make them be able to have a current gen graphics card to make them on par with PC's, they're getting to be almost as expensive so no real reason not to game on a pc unless it's a Sony game while they're gatekeeping games and losing out on PC playerbase they will eventually release to anyway. I'm still wondering how ppl argue that Xbox is a superior console when Black Myth wukong is maybe the second-third game that is delayed for that platform, the last time I remember it happening with was baldurs gate 3 due to the lack of power the console had.

Actually the chatgpt translation is much worse than IGN's translation. Because the words are organized kinda like a poem, many sentences do not have subjects, and there aren't many conjunctions to illustrate their logical relations, so it really depends on the understanding of the context to get it's meaning. Also they sometimes contain chinese slangs, so it is difficult for translation software to get it right. From my perspective, IGN's translation is largely correct. That guy somehow just really likes to mention penis (erection, lower half of your body, jerking off. There is no translation error there). The only place I found that may cause misunderstanding are the first two sentences "I want to expand my circle and hire more people, get licked until I can't get an erection. I want to be honest and make a trailer, and be praised as the savior of the industry". The translator here did not provide the underlying conjunctions (they were omitted in the original sentences too, so one can still argue that the translator here is being conservative and not trying to guess). The whole post is basically him trying to be humble, so the likely better translation would be "I JUST want to expand my circle and hire more people, BUT I GOT licked until I can't get an erection. I JUST want to be honest and make a trailer, BUT I GOT praised as the savior of the industry." "get licked" is a slang that basically means being praised, so he meant that he was praised too much. He basically wanted to say he didn't do the demo to show off, and there is still a lot of work to do.

I as a mid-aged Chinese, would like to provide another point of view. There was a time of Chinese internet, when netizens treat internet as what it was imagined to be: a place where everyone can anonymously say anything, AKA a public toilet of ideas. That was about 10 years ago, and I was one of them. Everybody cursed everybody else with all bigotry, sexist, racist, offensive language. Few people were really offended because it was considered the part of the internet. The creator is definitely still living in that already lost "golden" age. For this, he's very wrong. If my, and many others' social media posts 10 years ago was dug out and judged by the public now we will be crucified. I can confidently say I'm not sexist and the posts I post 10 years ago was just joking blah, blah... But I'm nobody. I don't have such concerns; I don't need public preference. Even though, I still will never post things in a way like I did 10 years as my social media followers are not longer all strangers I'll never meet or come across in real life. He shouldn't either. Yet he did. Any criticism he's facing now, he deserved it. If someday a scandal broke out that he has been sexually assault people or mistreated other genders, it would be justified to call and treat him as a sexist. But it didn't happen. I don't like his speech, but it's only because I'm old now. But I still pre-bought this game.
