The queen's speech might be from pre-endgame, as it would best explain the "given everything" quote, as shuri also dusted, and is presumed dead at that point..

Being Latino, from Honduras where the ancient Mayas dwelled. In the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Copan, seeing Maya pyramids in a mcu movie is just the ultimate level of representation of my people, ancestors and my culture. I am beyond excited to see this film.

@@arta.xshaca that’s a funny messy thing to say. I too am Honduran and I too have Mayan and White European, Muslim AND African ancestry like most of the people in latin america. However the fact that I have Spaniard/ European blood does not take away that MY HERITAGE is ALSO Mayan and I can ALSO feel extremely EXCITED to see part of MY CULTURE be represented in the MCU. The fact that we (and by WE I mean literally the whole human race) are ALL MIXED does not negate that you can identify and feel different parts of your heritage.

i don’t think his death will be a plot point. the trailer gives off the vibe that his passing was something that happened separate from growing MCU/Wakandan conflict. you said it yourself, it’s about what people do afterwards. “we’re gonna be alright”, life goes on. that’ll definitely be part if this movie’s theme.

Being hispanic and of central American descent, seeing Tenoch as Namor is HYPE AF! Namor is one of the only heroes that they could actually cast hispanic without it feeling forced and makes sense. I am SO excited to see representation especially through one of Marvel's biggest characters!

Well that’s the part I’m not clear about. It seems like Namor is a descendent of an ancient Mayan tribe and Atlanteans from a long time ago connection. I would imagine pre Latin America and pre European colonization. Not sure how connected Atlanteans would be with modern day Mexico. I imagine Atlantis kept itself hidden from modern world just like Wakanda. I guess we’ll see what the do. Looks amazing!

The swell during the cover track occurring as we see Namor’s birth is chilling, and to me that seems to kind of say in a way that Namor is not ultimately a villain. He’s an agent of change…

8:20 - Why do people keep insisting on making the head piece a Jaguar?? It’s a snake head!! It’s the head of the Feathered Serpent god (Kukulkan to the Mayans or Quetzalcoatl to the Aztecs). The feathers around the crown are the exact same style as the feathers around the serpent heads on Mayan pyramids. Open your eyes people: There are even snake scales on the top of the head of the snake. You can also sea a painting of the feathered serpent god at 10:21

I’ve never had a trailer make me feel emotions. But this trailer brought me close to tears. Idk why, but I’m more excited about this movie then I’ve been for many different movies. There’s a reason why Kevin Feige saved it for the end of the phase. It’s got to have Doom or mention of mutants in it.

As a Mass native, I recognized that bridge immediately and I remembered last year the news about the fact that the movie was filming around the Cambridge/MIT area. So that shot of the Atlanteans at night & Everett Ross in the day is actually the Mass Ave Bridge that connects Cambridge and Boston and goes over the Charles River instead of the Potomac River.

I feel I should point out below 200m there is no light in the ocean, so time of day is irrelevant to deeper dives, like those reinforced suits are used for. Also, an electrically illuminated ship at night is far easier to spot than a naturally illuminated one in the day, so they're not being stealthy in the slightest.

So glad Mr. Coogler took a step back to allow Mr Boseman’s passing to be felt and honored. I love the trailer, the cast, the potential storyline and hopefully the return of a less violent Killmonger who is all about Wakanda Forever and wanting to lead and not destroy.

I agree with this!! Immediate look from the face to the ankles. I don't think it's his father, seems more like a midwife but I agree it's a missed detail, and that he will most likely still be a mutant.

From everything in this trailer it appears there'll be a hell of a lot of story to cover in the space of a movie - Tchalla's death & how Wakanda deals with it & moves on aswell as Namor's intro & backstory etc could be a movie each on their own not to mention whatever else is going on so I just hope that doesn't mean that it will be rushed or not delved into deeply enough.🤞

The light behind Namor is most likely the thing that Namora tried to crack with the spear later in the trailer. And you didn't mention the wings he had on his foot not just when he was adult but also when he was born. Also the different shots stitched for ironheart. I don't really think it's killmonger in the suit as the hands are too thin and body shape looks more feminine.

Is no-one gonna talk about that Attuma is in this!! He’s the right hand to Namor in the movie but I truly think that he’s the main villain pulling strings and blaming wakanda in order to gain the throne. Remember Attuma is a villain in the comics, an Atlantian as well as Namors long time rival.

There's no in-universe reason for any Wakandan to trust Killmonger or want to resurrect him after what he tried to do last time. I think it's either Shuri or Nakia. Or even Okoye.

While they have no reason to trust him, they also had no reason to trust Ross as much as they did with all their secrets. These characters, this country, have been to Hell and back. They've lost two kings (one of them twice), had a civil war, hosted an intergalactic battle AND had half their population decimated and brought back. All in less than 10 years. If they get Erik in, it's because they've burned through their final hopes and prayers and need to do something absolutely insane (like trusting an old enemy with your country). Which they were willing to do once before when they tried to give M'Baku the heart shaped herb. It's probably not Erik - the MCU has to put the brakes on somewhere, and suggesting there is a readily available route to reincarnation in Shuri's lab is the first step to destroying everything they've built. But pulling Erik, trust or not, is not something I would put past the characters if it was an option

I feel it’s shuri as well and for the multiverse they may recruit a good killmonger from another universe to take the place until Nakia has the baby The timeline might be some a year or two after the blip

Well that’s the part I’m not clear about. It seems like Namor is a descendent of an ancient Mayan tribe and Atlanteans from a long time ago connection. I would imagine pre Latin America and pre European colonization.

Just so psyched to see how they honor Boseman/T'Challah, as well as seeing Namor in live action for the first time and potentially (if rumors/leaks are true) Dr. Doom done right. Surprised you didn't point out both Namora, Namor's cousin, and Attuma, his arch-nemesis, being prominent in that bridge shot.

@cnmmd qiuooAttuma wouldnt be much of a "secret antagonist" though. The guys been a villain his entire history. A quick google search would say as much. He would be a secret villain in the same way Misterio was a twist villain. It just wouldnt be a real surprise. Im hoping they have an actual secret villain that doesnt appear in the trailer. But it doubt it would be Doom. Its simply not the place for him. The closest thing possible to that would be if they reveal in a post-credits scene that the secret villain was working for Doom all along.

The thought of seeing Michael B Jordan return is exciting, what a moment it would be. However, it comes with too many problems. Im never a fan of bringing someone back from the dead because not only does it cheapen their sacrifice (though not exactly in his case) but then why not bring everyone that has died back?

I think its Nakia(Lupita Nyong'o) because the arms/legs are to short for it to be shuri(Letitia Wright) and the frame/wrist arm/calf is to small for Erik killmonger(Michael B Jordan).

What if Wakanda gets flooded from below through the vibranium mine? We saw in BP1 how deep the Wakandans had mined. It could be that the Atlanteans had mined horizontally from the ocean and break through to flood Wakanda from below. It would answer not only how an (apparently) land-locked country is flooded but also how there is enough water to cover the mountain throne room without covering all of Africa in the process.

Namor's mother is giving birth in shallow water reminds me of some sea creatures that come into shallow water to spawn. Maybe there is a parallel there. Killmonger is coming back to take up the mantle to honor his cousin, I'm calling it now.

Does anybody else think that the little boy in the throne room while it's being flooded could actually be T'Challa's son? If he was born around the same time as Tony's daughter then I think the age checks out. Also, there were never any children in the throne room before and it looks like he's being saved by a Dora Milaje.

They never actually showed Killmonger being buried. Or even dead. He was stabbed. From a far shot, we see him possibly pass out. We have no idea if he wasn't stabilized by one of the beads (as Ross was) and nursed to health. Just a thought.

I doubt that the characters would do that, one because he was actively hostile to the leadership and he expressed how he wanted to be buried which from a writing point of view is telling us that he is dying. They won’t do that because it removes all stakes they try and build up and subsequently dash all of the emotions from scenes where character can be hit with a fatal blow because they can just be brought back. But hey it’s marvel they might to that, they have been making some interesting choices recently

He was thrown in the ocean whilst dying. I think k Attuma found him and gave him to doom. Doom has the tech and magic to try different therapies from Atlantis, wakanda, magic, and othe tech could save or resurrect him. He may be locked in the Astral plane. Maybe he convinces Shuri or he even is BP. The suit had gold trim just like killmonger.

Atlantis is actually called Talocan in the film based on Tlālōcān from Aztec myth. So Namor's society will be based on Mayan & Aztec.

Hey, just want to clarify, Aztecs where found in Mexico, Mayans where on the south of Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, as per ruins and temples, having the capital of the Mayan civilization in Guatemala, Tikal, which is in Peten. Just want to share that, since I am Guatemalan. Love your content.

And I want to clarify that filmmakers have stated that Namor’s civilization will be a combination of both Aztec and Mayan which is something that will be completely made up. As you can see in the trailer there are elements of both civilizations. The symbols that appear on the wall are very similar to that of Mayan nature but have been altered for the film. I have been to many ruins in my beautiful country of Mexico and learned as much as I can. I hope to one day travel to Guatemala and visit some of the ancient sites and meet people as enthusiastic as you about their culture because most Guatemalans I know, and trust me. I know a LOT, never talk about their culture.

It was central America, then when they became independent, they decided to join Mexico, and then unjoined, loosing 2 big states to Mexico, giving the Yucatan peninsula to them. So yeah, Guatemala was actually all central america, then it became independent, and then everything broke away. I know my history, guess you didnt know that. I can even bring out dates, so, FYI 1821 independence from Spain (as one country of central america) and then 1823 independence from Mexico to become, again, one country.

Did some searching online. The necklace the Atlantean has on the bridge is definitely not a barracuda(note the mammalian molars), but does in my opinion resemble a jaguar jaw.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that noticed where the song cut off and that Killmonger said in the last movie that he wanted to be buried in the ocean. IMaybe he was put into some special Coffin that protected him and the Alanteans found it and the Wakandans felt like this one the last resort. I'm so hyped for this movie. And yes I teared up for the thousand times lol
