Thanks to Mike @bloomandblade for sending this for review!
What a spectacular knife! The BSC Mini Sabotage is one of the most highly sough after knives out there. The looks, the action, the fit and finish, and the maker are all top notch on this one, and I understand the hype. While the appearance is a bit funky, the knife in hand is an absolute dream.

Nati is one of the coolest guys on the planet he’s always willing to sit and talk with people even those who have little to no experience with knives. Amazing knife! Mikes a lucky dude!

Great video and detail. This knife is just amazing in the craftsmanship and like you said his eye for detail is phenomenal... I’d love a production of this smaller one.

Hopefully there will be a smaller production version of the subvert in the future by spyderco. Maybe a c.f. handle or something would be awesome

I wish Spydero would go to a jimped concave bowl instead of that hole. I've had Spydercos open while getting out of the pocket because of my edc flashlight clip catching inside the Spydie hole.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll take that feedback and change their catalog of hundreds of knives. Or, just realize that the Spyderco trademark is the hole. Literally every single knife they make has a Spydiehole, including fixed blades. Maybe you should revise they way you're carrying your EDC flashlight rather than complaining that a massively popular company should change their design that basically no one else has an issue with.

Max D Maybe you should get more experienced with knives before you speak on behalf of everyone else. I don't ( need ) Spyderco to change anything. It called carrying another brand knife and collecting more of other brands than Spydercos. Maybe you should also read other comments before complaining about my complaining, Kettle

Very nice. Just curious, how do you disassemble a knife that has all the hardware hidden? Let me take guess... The pivot collar actually locks down the bolster. Once removed, you can see that the cf extends under the bolster to reveal a screw that holds down that end of the cf, the other end doesn't have a screw, it's machined to lock in place. Once you get the cf off everything else is visible. Being that there are only 30 of these in the world, I don't think anyone will be able to confirm my theory. Unless the Jeweler himself reads this. :)

I'll ask him. Sometimes makers will use special tools and screwdrivers to assemble hidden hardware builds. But I did not attempt to take this one apart.

This is my knife and looking at the internals I _think_ it goes like this. All from the inside outward. On the presentation side there are three internal slots and screws, so the scales and bolsters slide into place and then get secured. (So for disassembly, the pivot comes off and then you loosen and slide off the bolster and scale.) On the lockside it's simple internal screws, which are accessible after the presentation side is removed. And, of course, the pivot keeps it together. You can get them with exposed screws on the scales, but you still need a tool to access the internal screw on the bolster on the presentation side. I typically like to take stuff apart, but for this one I sacrificed that in order to have the hidden screws.

I've got a BSC Opiate on the way, and no, it's just coming to _torture me._ Then, I'll have to have one. I honestly think these are best using simpler materials, it just shows off his skills as an artist and craftsman. I think his designs are absolutely gorgeous, and owe nothing to other makers. #knifeporn [sigh] I'll be in my bunk...

I’m sorry, a very sexy knife, but, the gap and fit between the bolster and the carbon fiber is nasty. Every WE knife fits better than that. Stands out like a sore thumb!

I should have highlighted this a bit better. The gap is intentional and quite precise. But I see how it could be perceived as bad.

yeah, it's a design choice. If you look at all the dual scale Sabotages they are all like this, exactly.

It might look like a manatee but the subvert looks like... Well idk what. But it's definitely not as beautiful as this Israeli sea cow.
