For me, this song is catchy and fun to listen. That's BP signature sound, they dont need to change it. Like you said we got variations from their last album, so for me its okay. This is just a single and for a game. Blinks should just enjoy it.

I think that because this is for their game, I think it is perfect that it sounds like them. I immediately knew it was a Teddy beat within seconds. But something for their game should reflect their style. It works!

Funny thing is that this is not a Teddy song. It was produced by Ryan Tedder and Michel “Lindgren” Schulz. But they captured BP’s sound really well!

People just want less Black and more Pink from their tried and true dichotomy. The savagery tends to be more captivating and that’s why the big releases focus on that. But it’s been a while since we had the Pink side up front. The AIIYL, Stay and Playing with Fire type tracks have found their way to the B-side. Personally, I like the Black side and I think their latest releases have been everything I wanted. Shut Down is my fav BP song by far. That said, tracks like AIIYL is why a lot of us fell in love with them and it makes sense to bring that side back to balance things out.

In my opinion too, their pink side should be brought more up front, but then again people did criticized them (still do lol) for "lovesick girls", which had lyrics like "stay" and beat like "AIIYL" so it was natural of them to give more emphasis on what worked last time, i.e HYLT. And now that they are giving more "black" side (which is exactly what people said they wanted from their last album) people are saying that they should give more "pink" side. I mean that's just "finding something to criticize them" in my opinion. BTW i too like their black side songs, and I personally don't think they should change anything because nobody can do it better than them.

@@shantanugadakh102I agree and I what I don’t understand is why people criticized them for “Lovesick Girls” it was exactly what I envisioned as a “pink” song from them. It’s like the public doesn’t even know what they want. So I agree that they shouldn’t change anything, it’s Blackpink themselves that make their whole style work to begin with. That’s why companies don’t often listen to the public, they go by statistics. What actually works and what people really want.

Because when LSG was released, didn't really see any of that praise for it going on lol. Pretty Savage was more popular than LSG at the time I believe, and that song would be categorized as "repetitive and boring" so I don't get it.

This songs is sooo good, I'm still a bit upset is just the game OST. People will complain no matter what. If they try something very different they say their old songs were better. If they do their kinda signature sound ppl complain bc they "tired" or smth. Honestly, for me, as long as they put out good and enjoyable music, I'm on board and I truly believe most of the fans are like that. As for their future activities, I'm holding on for them to confirm their contract renewal before creating any expectations bc I don't wanna be delusional.

Some Blinks may be getting a little tired of their sound but really , your talking mainly about their A-sides or main release , but many of their B-sides are different. Their global appeal is only getting bigger so that speaks for itself and of course like any groups songs, they'll always be some disappointed and dislike the song.

When they get something that definitely has that Blackpink signature they still dislike it. Idk what fans actually want? My only minor issue with the song is that it sounds a little dated, like it was meant to be released like a few years ago, so it probably would've had more impact if it had been released sooner, but of course you can never tell how long a game will take to develop so it makes sense if it was in the pipeline for a while. But other than that, I like it, though I do agree it's confusing to watch these adorable looking doll figures while listening to a diss track

BP are damned if they do and damned if they don't at this point. During every single there will be a vocal group either upset that they've changed their style, or another that's upset that they've stayed the same. Only way around it is to not release any singles, only albums. And if they do that, people will still be upset as there will be 2-3 years before making a new song. Personally I'd like to hear something fresh from them, but really, what is "fresh" at this point. Tally and Shut Down were both girl boss songs, but i loved them, so i don't know. I guess i've always kinda enjoyed their earlier B-sides and wouldn't mind a return to that. But i don't begrudge them, or disapprove of them sticking to what they know works.

I think it’s good, cute and catchy song for the game but it needs a little more to be a comeback song, if we could get a fast rap like Lisa does here for a comeback or her next solo that would be awesome. Blackpink formula works for a reason but I would like to see more soul and r&b like earlier BP. When they did the Sure thing cover and Whistle. Along those lines.

I get what your saying, but in the context of making a song for a phone based video game. Most songs made for video games are throw away crap songs and are forgettable. BP not only made a banger of a song, but Lisa's rap is a buzzing and people who didn't know about the song or didn't know about the game are coming to see what's it's all about. For YG and the game maker that's what you want, engagement and eyeballs on the product. That is all that matters.

Tbh I am glad this song didn't come out in their Born Pink album, it sounds too weak to me, like a fast produced combination of Ice cream and Kill this love, also there was an AI made snippet of Jennie's voice that had a better emotion to the lyrics but as an OST for a game is OK I guess.
