Very seldom do i repost on a video but i was really touched by seeing you teach your son to blacksmith. I am beginning to teach my granddaughter she is 7 and she truly loves to use the tools and its so rewarding to see her so happy just doing what pap does. I have spent 35 years as a mechanical fitter which has been a satisfying career, however I have always wished that I had become a blacksmith. Too late for me now but I can still take pleasure and admire the excellent work you and others do. Function and form beautiful combined.

I love your channel and it was so nice to see your son learning from dad. I owned a construction business and a always tried to have my sons work with me as often as possible. Passing down skills and knowledge to your children is part of a fathers job. Thanks!

Everytime i see a video like this one, where you get your kids involved in helping you out. It warms my heart. I missed out on alot of this kinda thing growing up...I would have loved to have my Dad do these things with me. Teaching me and giving me experiance and support. You are a great man.

Great job, congratulations. I remember when I was passing the forge as a child when I was going to school. A beautiful brick building from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, with a roof for horses waiting to be shoed. . It is true that back then (in the 1980s) the forge was hardly working anymore, but sometimes the door was open and seeing the interior and equipment it excited my imagination. When watching your films, I sometimes come back to those memories. Best regards from Poland.

Another awesome video it was great to see you teaching your son, he is learning from a fine man and craftsman, he too will have the same skills as you do someday, also noticed that he is left handed like me, I had a math teacher tell me one day that many great men were left handed.

Great to see passing along the trades to the younger generation. This fills my heart with hope for the future! The hook was the first thing I learned to forge too and was the first thing I taught my two sons to forge.

Then, what an awesome shoutout to Jon Switzer and Black Bear Forge, that makes me so happy, he's just marvellous. Then to see your young chap doing such a good job too is profoundly pleasing. When I woke up this morning, I had to face a whole bunch of work I wasn't very happy about doing, but I checked in on KZfaq, and saw, "Aha! A new Torbjörn video.
